Extra storage was the goal at this Westerville home. We converted unfinished basement space to a new giant pantry, opened up the wall in the stairwell to create easier access to the basement, added a pocket door, and installed two large sets of shelving.

A lot of dirty work and finishing touches went into this Brewery District rental that was converted from a garage. We rebuilt the unsafe stairs to the basement and found the beautiful original stone walls. Built a small landing to correct a step down that was too deep, added kitchen cabinets and appliances, and installed new doors and the built-in shelving in the living area.

Another project we recently finished. We helped this property owner finish the conversion of this gorgeous historic Newark home into two separate rental units. We closed in a wall and matched the existing trim in the entryway, closed off additional doorways that connected the units, installed a new solid core entry door for the upstairs unit, and repaired the original pocket door that was not operating correctly. Our goal was to keep the historical integrity of the property while helping to create two secure separate living spaces and think it turned out beautifully.

Yet another bathroom transformation we recently completed. In the master, this gorgeous tile replaced the builder grade surround, along with a new deep soak tub. We also replaced the old laminate vanity tops with gorgeous quartz, updated the mirrors, lights, medicine cabinets, and topped it off with a fresh coat to paint.

Updated vanity, medicine cabinet, and vanity light were installed. New recessed lighting was added above the shower to brighten the space. And a fresh coat of paint tied it all together.

Jonathan Blankenship Construction LLC [JBC] was founded July 1st, 2019 by local Hilliard residents, Jonathan and Megan Blankenship.
Jonathan began his career in carpentry and construction as an apprentice for his father 'Lenny' at the age of 17. His analytical mind and genuine interest for restoring and improving people's homes made Jonathan a quick study and secured his future in "construction". Jonathan was able to learn the ins and out of the insurance restoration industry by working for just two reputable Columbus based restoration firms over the following 19 years.
In the summer of 2019 the perfect opportunity arose for Megan and Jonathan to take a chance on Jon's dream of one day owning his own business and bringing JBC to life. Fueled by the hope of a more balanced home to work life and the want to restore/remodel/re-imagine our neighbors' homes, JBC also promises to provide expert services without the enormous overhead price. Jonathan provides the knowledge, service and skill to tackle any job no matter the size. Whether you need a Handyman, General Contractor and just some advice, Jonathan Blankenship is the guy to trust. His 20 years in the same industry has brought him networks of knowledge.
