The Kannapolis Police Department is collecting school supplies and personal hygiene items for local students! 🎒✂️🧼🧦

We invite you to donate bookbags, school supplies, and personal care essentials (such as deodorant, bar soap, toothbrushes, socks, wipes, shaving cream, etc.)

Donations can be dropped off in the lobby of the Kannapolis Police Department at 401 Laureate Way until August 15.

All donations will benefit Kannapolis City School students, grades Kindergarten through 12th.

We’ve wrapped up a wonderful three weeks of tutoring at Covenant Presbyterian, Kannapolis…😊❤️📚! This is an amazing group of young people and a phenomenal teaching team. Thank you to such a special church and community; thank you to our generous donors and friends!

The Academic Learning Center was so proud to organize Shine On at Shady Brook! Thirty students served with free and FUN tutoring ..and with seriously excellent teachers. Thank you to our partners Mebane Foundation 1,2,3 JUMP NAMI Cabarrus and Kannapolis City Schools for your generosity and support. Literacy growth, learning through exercise, and take home lunches (including mental health awareness coloring books) were provided.❤️😊🎉📚Shine On!

We loved collaborating with Cooperative Christian Ministry this past week!!! Their camp is so special, and I thank my friend, Brenda Trott, from All Saints Episcopal Church😊❤️🙏🏻 who assisted with a super fun literacy/math lesson.

The Academic Learning Center disbursed $70,000 to teachers in Cabarrus County Schools and in Kannapolis City Schools for tutoring stipends this year…reaching 500 students with free tutoring in their home schools.
