I haven’t promoted my business or baked anything since January because I went back to school to finish the last 10 hours of my Bachelor of Science in Community Nutrition, but I made a few exceptions this weekend!

I loved how this 30 cake turned out!
Instead of cutting out the numbers from a sheet cake …I filled cardboard numbers with cupcakes, M&Ms & bubblegum & sprayed it all with iridescent glitter spray …a Cupcake Charcuterie!

I may start doing all of the number & letter cakes this way because they are so much easier to transfer & I don’t have to worry about them splitting.

I also had an order for individual birthday cupcakes. I decided on triple chocolate for all three, made them a little larger & added candles that represented the age of each person.
This order also had a dozen cupcakes which were vanilla with vanilla buttercream & birthday sprinkles (which I didn’t get a photo of).

I will not be taking any more orders until after I graduate in May.

Last day for Christmas orders!
Delivery will be Saturday, December 23!

I will be available everyday next week from 9-5 for pickup/delivery!

I catered the dessert bar for a Classy vs. Trashy Christmas Party this afternoon for my son’s girlfriend & her coworkers & their spouses.
I had a menu planned, but ended up changing most of it after I learned that the dietary restrictions were not only gluten-free …but nut-free too …which is doable, but a little more difficult to accommodate.

Since the menu didn’t have to be dairy-free …& I was given full range to do what I wanted …I decided to plan a menu with the focal point around the Classy vs. Trashy theme.

I opted for dessert cheeseballs …Classy Christmas Tree with Assorted Christmas Sugar Cookie Dippers for the “Classy” side & a Trashy Truffle with Potato Chip, Pretzel & Oreo Dippers for the “Trashy” side.

I decided to keep the rest of the menu simple …which included Chocolate Chip Cookies, Chocolate Fudge, Snowballs, Peppermint Bark, Cocoa Snowballs & Mini Christmas Cupcakes. I also added Strawberries & Peppermint Sticks to finish out the dessert bar.

I was pleased with how it all turned out & hopefully everyone in attendance enjoyed it all!

I made this Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie with a pretzel crust & homemade whipped cream for our second Thanksgiving lunch today… & I’m thinking this will have to be a permanent menu item!
This pie was incredibly easy to make, has a nice creamy texture & the sweet/salty combination was the perfect balance.

I love pie! …but I don’t offer them on my menus because I’ve never been very good at making them.
This Lemon Meringue Pie was a bit of a struggle, but it’s finally finished! …& it seems to have turned out pretty well, but I guess we’ll see when we cut into it tomorrow!

Wednesday, November 15 is the last day to get those Thanksgiving orders in! …& delivery will be Wednesday, November 22

I haven’t listed a lot for the menu this year, but the Yeast Rolls with Flavored Butter is something new that I’m trying …& may become a permanent menu item if they are popular!
I may also have a gluten-free option available soon!
