Good evening! I just wanted to provide an update to everyone that has Court this week. Putnam County Courts are closed tomorrow. Overton County Juvenile Court is closed on Wednesday. I am watching for updates on Warren and White County Courts. As soon as I hear something, I will share it with you all.

Everyone stay safe and warm! Check on your neighbors, friends, the elderly, and pets/animals outside.

As we ring in 2024 and put 2023 to rest, I want to say THANK YOU to the Lord first, and then to my family and friends for a successful and spectacular year!!! It’s been another great year for this office, and that would not be possible without Him and each of you.

There were some firsts this year! I tried two jury trials! I won our very first one! I appeared in new courts and new counties. I tackled many new cases in some different areas of law. I officially hired a part-time assistant (well really two - thank you Melena Dishman and Alyson Hamlet for all of your hard work!). I learned ALOT, and I don’t just mean about the law! I’ve learned a lot about people, (including myself), and honestly I’ve learned a lot about Jesus in this business because He expects me to be a good representative of Him, and He helps me be a good lawyer.

I pray that the Lord lead this business and that He blesses this business. I pray a lot in the courtroom because mercy, I could not do this without Him! I look forward to working with you and for you. I thank you for your continued support, and your continued prayers for this business.

Happy Thanksgiving family and friends! I pray that your hearts and bellies are full tonight! As you lay down to sleep tonight, count your blessings. There is always always something to be thankful for. As I lay down tonight, I am thankful for my family and friends that I was able to spend the day with. I am thankful for the meal that we had; the laughs that we shared; and the nice nap I got afterward! 😜 I am thankful for each of you who has helped make this business a success! Thank you for your support, for your understanding, and most of all your prayers! It is by God’s love, grace, and mercy that this law office has been open for 4 years! I have so much to be thankful for! God is good! Enjoy this day and everyday! 😊

Hello friends! I am considering opening a satellite office here in Spencer for appointments. I would like to know if there would be local interest in this? I want to be able to meet clients, who live and/or work in Spencer or this area, in Spencer without the client having to drive to Cookeville or meet me at a public location. I just want to be more accommodating to potential clients and clients. I would appreciate your feedback. Thank you!

Yesterday, I had the privilege of trying my very first jury trial!!!! My client was found NOT GUILTY on both counts!!!! Check out the photo for my client’s thoughts on the trial. I appreciate the opportunity to serve clients like Mr. Cope.

Earlier this week I had the privilege of assisting a client in a divorce and parental relocation as well as a DCS case. She was very pleased with the results and her sweet babies brought me goodies today, one especially painted for me. Seeing people happy and kiddos glad to be back home makes my heart happy. ❤️

I’ve had the privilege of working with some great officers who really do care about people. They do their jobs with integrity and competence.
