Can you see the growth in my purslane? It’s very slow...
Good morning 😃 The elders say: “ If you have some trouble, tell it to water. Let water carry your troubles away...” When I ran into this little waterfall, I wanted to capture it and put it here for you to tell your troubles on it... Let it carry all troubles away...
I have a few pine trees and I love them because they produce so much oxygen for us lower beings :) lol This is a baby one, comes up to my knees so far. This white stuff is pollens and this picture is taken from top looking straight down ❤️🧿
I cook the most delicious dish with purslane... It’s not a w**d for me... I have been trying to grow it on purpose but this baby is not fast to grow. If it was a w**d it would be taking over the yard lol
This is nice...

The orange peels are rich in fiber, vitamin C, folate, vitamin B6, calcium and other essential nutrients. The skin of the oranges contains a good amount of polyphenols that protect against several diseases. Peels have anti-cancerous properties, due to the presence of limonene, a naturally occurring chemical.
Senna didymobotrya is a species of flowering plant in the legume family known by the common names African senna, popcorn senna, candelabra tree, and peanut butter cassia. It is native to Africa, where it can be found across the continent in several types of habitat. I found this beauty at Rotary Community Garden and Food Forest of Coral Springs. They were generous enough to give us a corner there so as a new chapter we can grow. This beauty literally smells like popcorn :)
This is fresh oregano. Origanum vulgare... The aroma is amazing... All over my tomato planters... Fresh oregano is a great antibacterial agent. It has phytonutrients (thymol and carvacrol), which fight infections such as staph. It's loaded with antioxidants that help prevent cell damage, and it's an excellent source of fiber, vitamin K, manganese, iron, vitamin E, tryptophan and calcium.
This winter give herbs a chance ;)
According to myprotein.com: What makes the Moringa tree so special and lifesaving you ask? Besides the fact that its leaves, pods, roots, bark, flowers, seeds and fruit are edible, it grows quite quickly, almost like a w**d and is extremely hardy; meaning it can be grown almost anywhere it is introduced. But the most interesting part of this tree is how nutritious it is.
In 100 grams of just the leaves, it has:
Ten times the iron of spinach,
Seven times the Vitamin C of oranges,
Four times the Vitamin A of carrots,
Four times the calcium of milk,
Three times the Vitamin E of almonds,
Three time the potassium of bananas,
Two times the protein of yogurt

Originally called Callicarpa, Beautyberry is full of health benefits... From leaves to roots and of course, the berries are used in traditional Chinese medicine. Beautyberries are all Antibacterial, Antifungal and Antiviral and are Sources of Antioxidant. Although gorgeous color, the taste is not that pleasant so not too popular amongst humans to eat and animals probably eat them as a last resort. As always please do not try any herbs without consulting a professional herbalist Please join our Gold Coast Chapter of The herbalists Without Borders for volunteering opportunities and educational sessions. The neurotransmitter GABA and the herb valerian are very similar in the way they calm your nerves and reduce excitement. Valerian is an herb you can use to treat insomnia. It’s the Va**um you get from nature. Catnip to a cat, valerian to a human! But oh boy does it smell like feet!!! Offensive must odor however it’s almost impossible not to fall asleep after taking it.
It’s Greek, it’s Ayurvedic, it’s Chinese.
Please consult your doctor before you use it.
And so is . 🌿✊🏽✊🏼✊🏾✊🏿🌿

Sunday is studying the anatomy of plants.
The Root
The root of a plant is found in the earth... Hidden... Sacred... It’s the heart of the plant...
There are different types of roots...
The fibrous one has spreading branches like a barley.
The conical root tapers from the crown to the apex like a carrot.
The fusiform root tapers up as down like a radish.
The napiform root looks swollen at the base like a turnip.
The fasciculated root has some fibers and branches that are tick.
The tuberiferous root has branches like rounded k***s like a potato.
The palmate root has branched k***s.
The aerial root emits from the stem into open air like an Indian corn.
The rhizome root prostrates stems resting on the surface like a calamus.
The tuber root is enlarged as a subterranean branch like a common potato.
The cormus root has a fleshy stem of a round shape like an Indian turnip.
The bulp root has stems with clothed with scales like a lily.
