π©Ίπ€±π½πͺπ½Navigating the early nursing struggles can be overwhelming, but we've got this! πͺπ½π€±π½π©Ί
π«π©With so many new things to learn and decisions to make, it's no wonder we can experience decision fatigue. But there are ways to reduce the mental load and make the transition easier.ππ½ππ½ββοΈ
ππ½One way is to prioritize learning only what's necessary for the moment. We don't have to master everything at once.π©π½βππ
ππ½Another way is to seek support from others who have been through it before. Joining a support group or seeking advice from a trusted friend or family member can be incredibly helpful.π€π
ππ½ββοΈRemember, it's okay to ask for help and take breaks when needed. Self-care is essential during this time of learning and recovery. Take care of yourself, and the rest will fall into place.ππ½π
Let's support each other through the early nursing struggles and reduce the mental load together. We've got this! πͺπ½π€±π½π©Ί
Hey mamas! π€± Are you struggling with a decrease in breast milk supply? Here are 3 possible reasons and how to fix it:
1. Not feeding/pumping often enough: Make sure you're feeding or pumping at least every 2-3 hours, even at night. β°( check your fl**ge size.... No seriously do that )
2. Medications: Certain medications can affect milk supply. Check with your IBCLC / provider before taking any new medication. π
3. Ineffective latch: If your baby isn't latching properly, it can affect milk supply. Check in with a lactation consultant for help. π€±π»
Remember, it's important to seek help if you're struggling with milk supply. Don't hesitate to reach out to a lactation consultant, a little help van go along way ππ.
πΆ Keep it SIMPLE Worried if your baby is getting enough milk? Here are some signs to look out for:
β
Baby is gaining weight steadily and producing enough wet and dirty diapers
β
Baby is alert and active during feeding sessions
β
Baby seems satisfied and content after feeding
β
Baby is meeting developmental milestones
Remember, it's normal for babies to feed frequently and for extended periods in the early weeks of life. Trust your instincts and seek guidance from a lactation counselor if you have concerns. Happy feeding! π€±

Plus, they're easy to make and can be filled with a variety of materials such as rice, beans, and even water! So why not give your little ones the gift of sensory play today?

Gentle sleep β learningβ is a type of infant sleep support that uses non-intrusive methods to help babies and toddlers establish healthy sleep habits. This type of education focuses on creating a sleep-friendly environment and helping parents understand their babyβs sleep signals. It does not involve leaving babies to cry for extended periods of time or strict schedules. A gentle sleep training course will provide an overview of infant and toddler sleep, discuss how to create a sleep-friendly environment, and review age-appropriate sleep strategies. The course may also discuss how to handle sleep regressions ( progressions) and common sleep problems. Participants will be given the opportunity to ask questions and receive personalized guidance. Hint* babies wake at night but understanding patterns and having a consultant routine can help the entire family develop long lasting healthy sleep! This course also includes how to access on demand parenting support when when class is not in sessionβ¦ have a question ?
