Together, I and the 60+ year old owner, moved most of this dirt with shovels and a wheelbarrel 12 miles away yesterday with my truck and trailer in 2 trips (within 6.3 hours) and I spread the rest of the dirt in this yard today. ☝️

Hey customers with oak trees, do be aware that oak leaves and acorns do affect grass growth negatively. It takes a long time both to break-down and become mulch to lawn. With an excessive layer it will kill the grass runners beneath that it lays on. Also, as you know, it is no fun to step on these acorns and looks bad, as when they are on concrete.

I have begun thinning out these from customers' yards and removing from concrete. Do let me know if you would like for me to thin yours out from your lawn or remove from your concrete, as well.

Finished cleaning up a palm trunk today. I understand that it is not good to cut the frond stubs, that still have green on them, too short.

Remember to fertilize your yard when temps are in the 70s.

Hey customers and followers, Spring weather is around the corner for South Texas. Be sure to pass the word around for me.

As a reminder, if you are a regular customer and you refer a friend that also commits to being a regular customer, your next lawn work (up to $50 value) is free.

Do you have old raised beds/gardens that need removing? The landscape timbers do rot and soil ends up outside your gardens. The worse case is when you have raised beds with a rock yard around it, and w**ds end up growing around these old beds in your rocks.

I am working with a customer at the moment to remove his. We are sifting the soil from the surrounding rocks, since we have removed his beds. Weeds were growing all around. I regret not taking pictures in the beginning.

Did you know that if holly (Ilex aquifolium) finds its leaves are being nibbled by deer, it switches genes on to make them spiky when they regrow? Compared to the lawns, (unfortunately) it seems that w**ds are growing well in the rock beds. Let us pull them for you on a regular basis. We have a few customers that we do this for, one of which is a vacation home.

We also:
• Build a variety of bender board beds
• Remove annoying debris that would breakdown and eventually become soil for w**ds, otherwise
• Pressure wash concrete driveways and sidewalks
• Replace old w**d barriers
• Spread rock and dirt
• Prune short palm trees
