September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Join Radiology Associates as we raise awareness of the most common cancer, other than skin cancer, among men in the United States.
In Texas alone, there will be 15,459 newly diagnosed cases of prostate cancer. Most will be diagnosed in men over the age of 65 years old. As with all cancer, early detection is the best protection!

Founded and celebrated in 2021 by Dr. Susan Love Foundation for Breast Cancer Research to show the breast cancer community they are supported beyond the month of October. The 18th day of the 8th month of the year is indicative of the 1 in 8 women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetimes.
Today is an opportunity to amplify the importance of finding a cure for breast cancer.

World Lung Cancer Day is observed every August 1 to raise awareness of lung cancer issues and the importance of more research funding.
Radiology Associates would like our community to know that we offer many screening exams to assess your health, including Low-Dose CT Lung Screenings.
Talk to your physician about this lifesaving exam if you are:
*between the ages of 50 & 80
*history of to***co use of at least 20 pack-years
*must be a current smoker or quit in the last 15 years
*do not currently show signs of lung cancer

July is Osteosarcoma Awareness Month, a month dedicated to raising awareness about these rare and challenging forms of cancer in children.
Unlike many other types of cancer, which are more commonly seen in adults, sarcoma and bone cancer predominantly affect the pediatric population. These malignancies arise in the connective tissues, including bones, muscles, nerves, and blood vessels. The rarity and complexity of these cancers require specialized care, multidisciplinary approaches, and a deep understanding of the challenges young patients and their families face.

On May 30th, 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a presidential proclamation establishing a Nation Flag Day on June 14. The day commemorates the adoption of the Stars and Stripes as the official flag of the United States.

Radiology Associates proudly supports the local non-profit FIRST FRIDAY Breast Cancer Awareness Program, which provides FREE screening mammograms to qualified local women. The donation was made possible by community support through our annual breast cancer awareness t-shirt sale.
