Corvallis Fall Festival at Open Streets 2024
We had a blast at Open Streets Corvallis with a fun quiz on this year's festival poster! 🚴🌿 Visitors tested their knowledge by identifying the flora and fauna featured in Bekah Zeimetz's painting. If you participated, the answers are at the end of this video! We were also excited to kick off our volunteer drive for 2024! If you missed us there, don’t worry—there's still lots of time to get involved. We have a variety of volunteer positions available, from advance set-up to artist booth-sitting. Volunteers will receive a complimentary festival t-shirt featuring this year's poster art. Check out the link in the comments to sign up and be part of the Corvallis Fall Festival!

Experience Grupo Masato at the Corvallis Fall Festival!
We are thrilled to announce our 2024 Saturday Night Street Dance headliner, the incredible Grupo Masato! Stay after the festival closes on Saturday night and get down with one of Portland's most exciting Latin dance bands. Playing an irresistible combination of Chicha, Cumbia and Afro-Peruvian music, Grupo Masato invites all ages to meet on the dance floor and celebrate our diversity. Chicha music grew out of the Andean music in Peru mixed with Cumbia rhythms from Colombia, and were transformed and reinterpreted by electric guitars, Fender spring reverb amplifiers, complex African based percussions and the discovery of psychedelic rock. Don't miss your chance to experience this incredible ten-piece band live at this free event! Grupo Masato headlines the Corvallis Fall Festival Main Stage on Saturday, September 28, from 8:00-9:30 PM. All ages welcome. Food, wine, and beer will be served in the neighboring food court.

We’re honored to have been voted Best Festival by Willamette Living Magazine readers for the 2024 Best of the Valley issue! 🥳 A huge thank you to all who participated. Mark your calendars for September 28 & 29 and join the celebration! 📷: YC Fotostory and KEZI 9 News

PNW Community Coral Reef Project
Hard to get a good video because of today's sunny weather (!), but this month's window galleries at Footwise are worth checking out in person! This is the PNW Community Coral Reef Project from Coral Knit Fiber Arts, a collaborative traveling installation intended to "showcase the beauty and diversity of the undersea world while engaging in a conversation about climate change and ocean pollutants." On the other side, the Mid-Willamette Woodworkers' Guild has a dazzling array of works by local artisans. To learn more about the Coral Reef Project, visit the link in comments. 🪸

This weekend in Central Park, downtown Corvallis... Thank you to T-Mobile and all of our other sponsors!

Artist Spotlight: Michael McRae Designs, hand forged metal jewelry demonstration. This is Michael's first time showing at Corvallis Fall Festival. "As an artist and maker it is very important to show and get my work out in front of people... In person shows are more tangible. My Work needs to bring you in visually but other elements come in to play like weight, scale and quality. That can not happen virtually or two dimensionally. Interacting with art collectors brings authenticity into the mix. I find most people like to know the artist that they've purchased from." See Michael's work in person this Saturday and Sunday in Central Park, downtown Corvallis!

We are so excited that Corvallis Fall Festival is returning this weekend! We still need a few more volunteers. Each volunteer receives a free tee-shirt featuring this year's poster design. 🌹 To sign up, view comments for specific positions or visit: https://bit.ly/2Xu1JWk

We need volunteers for a variety of roles at the Corvallis Fall Festival. 🍂 Feel free and send a DM if you are open to helping where the need is greatest or visit our volunteer sign-up page to choose a specific position. ⭐ To sign up, visit ⭐ ⬇️ https://www.corvallisfallfestival.org/info/volunteer/

Artist Spotlight: Casey Newman of Cedar Dell Designs. If you enjoy fabric arts, don't miss the demo in this video! Casey told us she is inspired by, "living and working on a farm in the beautiful Oregon forest. I use real leaves and all natural dyes in my textile work and love conveying a sense of place and connection to nature through my work." She is looking forward to Corvallis Fall Festival because: "I love the community atmosphere of the Corvallis Fall Festival. There are so many talented artists in the Pacific Northwest and I love this opportunity to get to know them and their work as well as the supporters and patrons who come out to support us. The citizens of Corvallis are so kind and welcoming and really value the arts. it's a joy to spend a weekend with them!" Come see Casey and our other talented artist vendors on September 25 and 26 in Central Park, downtown Corvallis. Media contributed by Casey

Corvallis Fall Festival Artist Spotlight: Ceramics artist Frank Gosar. Frank shared a video studio tour and told us a little about what inspires his work. According to Frank: "My functional stoneware pottery is wheel-thrown or thrown-and-altered, and decorated with freehand drawings of birds and animals using ceramic minerals and stains applied with hand-made brushes. I love making small works of art for everyday life. The idea that someone will see my drawing, handle my pottery at every meal inspires me to make more." Visit Frank and our other artisan vendors at Corvallis Fall Festival on September 25 and 26 in Central Park, Corvallis.

Rachel Morris of Eclectic Nature Jewelry and Designs demonstrated her jewelry-making technique. Rachel is one of the 2021 Corvallis Fall Festival Artisan vendors.
