Drip or Drop?!
It’s another YAM 🍠 invasion!!! Our Youth Ambassadors do a lot of work managing our clothing closet, which includes filtering apparel and deciding what we should keep or distribute to other orgs in town. So here they’ve included some shots of clothes that are drippy or that maybe should be dropped off somewhere else! So what do you think? Is the purple tufted ears hoodie a drip 💧 or a drop??? Let us know in the comments!!! Also shoutout to the Jungle Television drip on display with youth model Eli 😮‍💨.

Horsepower Productions made a lovely video about our Street Outreach team, and about the expansion coming to our Youth Service Center coming this year! Watch the whole video on our YouTube!!!

🍠 Yam invasion 🚨!!! Our Youth Ambassadors made this rad video to thank @campbellscleaners for helping us to manage our clothing closet! Leave a comment below if you want to see more 🍠 content on our pages!!!

"What are you going to do with a million dollars?" is a question we're getting a lot! Along with "How did you get a million dollars?" Well, here's the video portion of our application for last year's Yield Giving Open Call. This video explains briefly the scope of the services we provide across Linn and Benton counties. We stay busy, and there's never been enough time, money, staff, or space to serve all the youth that we encounter. So, in answer to question 1, we're going to keep doing our work. While this gift is meaningful and really awesome, it's still less than 1/3 of our annual budget, which comes from grants, state +federal funding, and community contributions. It's an honor to be recognized, but at the same time, the scope of the issues we're facing in our community is far greater than a one-time windfall contribution. This gift just increases the urgency we feel to continue our service to our youth! We still need your support, because this gift is only a net gain for us if we continue to hit our fundraising goals, and our community continues to fight every day to support our youth. We're so thrilled to get this wind in our sails! We feel incredibly lucky and fortunate, and -- our work continues. In answer to question 2, "How were you one of the 0.5% of applicants to receive the Yield Giving money?". Who can say for sure! But there are a lot of factors, including the region we serve, the population we serve, the quality of our work, and the quality of the grant application put together by our stellar Grants Coordinator, Lauren Winchester. Also, huge shoutout to Whitman Craig who put this video together for us, to John Harris who shot a lot of the footage, and to our Communications Coordinator Ben Martens who wrote the script. We're going to keep you updated on the wins that come our way, the needs we experience, and the stories of the youth that we serve. And we're going to keep our nose to the grindstone every single day, because our motto is "Supp

We put together this quick pitch about our programs for a recent grant application. We've been getting a lot of new followers lately, so hopefully this quick overview of our services can be a good primer for everyone on the socials. Thanks to Whitman Craig for editing this video for us, and thank you for watching!

We had a blast at Philomath Pride! Thanks to all the community partners and nice people that made this a special day. We really enjoyed connecting with the community and celebrating love with a diverse multigenerational crowd.

Here's the second Youth Story from our Youth Rising Fundraiser last month! If you weren't able to make it to the event, check out Taylor's story! Our first youth story was posted yesterday, and we'll also post the Our Caring Community Award video tomorrow and some pictures from the event on Friday. Hoping to share a little piece of the Youth Rising experience with our Facebook community. Thanks for watching and supporting our youth for 21 years.

A big part of our Youth Rising Fundraiser has always been our Youth Stories. These stories help to bring a human element to all of the non-profit speak and remind our donors and ambassadors about the urgency of the work that we're doing. For 2023, two youth shared their stories with John of Horsepower Productions, who crafted these thoughtful videos. Today we'll be sharing Nalin's story. Enjoy!

This November has been incredible! We are so grateful to all our community partners, volunteers, staff, and all the youth that engage with our services. We delivered 67 thanksgiving food boxes this week, served around 200 meals at Skate Park After Dark events, and engaged with hundreds more around National Runaway Prevention Month. This video is just a smattering of the wholesome and heartfelt moments of connection we provided this month. Gratitude is the attitude for today’s day off!
