Extensions aren’t built to last forever. Here is the difference between fresh 22” wefts (left) and 22” wefts that were worn, with love and care, for a year(right). Why are they so much shorter? Heat styling, the elements, vacations, etc. all of the things we put our hair through, we put our extended hair through too! But while our hair grows from our scalps, our extensions do not, they just get shorter from breakage and trims. My Blondies have the wefts that have to undergo the most chemical processing (to achieve the perfect color) so those wefts are extra prone to wear and tear. So what do we do? We love our extensions and wear them with care. And we reorder every 8-12 months!🌿

Because we are cold! And extensions are a built in extra layer of warmth that cascades from our heads to our shoulders and down our backs! ;) truly, any time is a great time for extensions though, now is a GREAT time to dip your toes into the extensions pond because it’s not extremely hot and humid so you will not have to combat sweaty scalp and humidity hair. Extensions also look extra adorable with winter hats and ski braids!!!

Wefts are ready to reinstall between the 6-8 week mark. At this appointment, the wefts and beads are removed, the sections are combed out (all of the natural shed that the beads trapped is removed in this step), the sections are cleaned up and then fresh beads are installed and the wefts are sewn back in.
