The female subject entered the private property of a citizen and slashed the tires on a vehicle, owned by the State of Maryland. Yesterday, four Maryland State Police Barracks conducted "Move Over" safety initiatives in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Cecil, Harford, Prince George's, and St. Mary's Counties.

During these initiatives, Troopers issued 205 citations and warnings and made 1 arrest for suspected driving under the influence.

A citizen found this phone at Dan’s Rock. The owner can retrieve the phone by coming to the barrack, located at 1125 National Highway, LaVale, Maryland.

The Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack and the Crash Team is investigating a hit and run accident that occurred on I-68 eastbound at approximately 0650 hours this morning (5/3/24).

Kasey Logsdon, age 16, walked away from her home located in Finzel, Maryland on 04/22/2024 at approximately 8:00 PM

She was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt, dark blue jeans, black and gold under armour shoes, and wearing glasses. She has shoulder length blonde hair and has green eyes. **She is a diabetic and needs insulin**.

Jacob is 14 years of age and was last seen at approximately 0300 hours on 03/27/2024 in Midlothian. It is believed he was on a green bike. Anyone that has seen Jacob or have knowledge of his location are urged to contact the barrack at 301-729-2101

In 2019 our Explorer post brought back the annual Law Enforcement basketball tournament! Local Law Enforcement agencies compete against each other in friendly games to take the trophy! Past winners include Allegany County Sheriff's Office, Maryland, Cumberland Police Department and Maryland Department of Juvenile Services! On 03/15/2024 at approximately 8:43pm, Troopers were dispatched to respond for an assault that occurred at the Circle K located at 15617 McMullen Hwy SW (Rt 220).

At approximately 9:11pm a vehicle identified as a 2005 Hyundai XG left the scene of the Circle K parking lot and traveled south on McMullen Highway at a high rate of speed.

According to witnesses, the Hyundai XG was traveling south in the northbound lane of McMullen Highway. The Hyundai XG approached oncoming traffic and swerved to the right. The Hyundai XG traveled off of the right side of the roadway, traveled through a yard, and struck a tree in the area of McMullen Highway north of Pinto Road.

The vehicle was identified as a 2005 Hyundai XG/ MD registration 3EY8215. The driver was identified as James Eugene Bookheimer Jr. (W/M Age 53, of Rawlings, MD) Mr. Bookheimer Jr. was pronounced deceased by paramedics on the scene.

Based on the injuries, a crash reconstruction specialist was requested.

The investigation is ongoing.
