The craziness of blackberry season is finally coming to a halt. We are starting the farm pick up in Allen near Custer and 121 back up! 🥳

Hey everyone! We are doing our soft opening tomorrow for the blackberry patch! We are most definitely going to sell out with all of the hype and people who have messaged me with interest! We will still be open from 9am-12pm. Parking will be on the dirt road. If we sell out of fresh blackberries we do have frozen ones that were picked this week. Cash is preferred, prices are as follows:

You pick black berries $7 a pound
Frozen blackberries $7 a pound (1 or 3 pound bags)
Honey $12 or $16
Jelly, jams, pastries, eggs, blackberry lemonade and more.

We are opening this Saturday blackberry picking for a soft opening from 9am-12pm. Bring rain boots as our property is wet from all this rain! The goal this year is to get feedback on what we can fix and any tips from people who come out! Cash for the you pick is preferred but we will have a square for cards.

We will also have lemonade and other farm goods! Our patch isn’t the biggest yet but we are growing and we might get picked out pretty quickly. If that does happen we have blackberries frozen for $7 a pound.

Finally gave the slow cooker big breakfast a go. Been meaning to try it for ages. Verdict: Best.Idea.ever! This will be us every big breakfast morning. Thank you to whoever it was that discovered it! 👩🏻‍🍳

Edit: instructions
• Place all breakfast ingredients in the slow cooker like in the photo
bacon and sausages along the sides so they crisp up, (next time I will try using baking paper to help keep them from sticking to the sides)
Saucy stuff like baked beans and mushrooms into individual cups so they don’t end up a big mash)
Mushrooms: I added garlic, butter, and a dash of cream. In the morning I put them on the stove top to thicken the sauce.
Has browns- I want to try putting them along the edges as well next time to see if that helps them get crispy. They were still delicious as is.
I turned the slow cooker on low at 11pm, I got up at 8am and it looked like it had been ready for awhile. we ate at around 9am 🙂
The only things we had to do was toast the muffins and poach the eggs...oh and thicken the mushroom sauce.
