At long last, I have the Level 2 Fusion 360 CAD class available as a flex class. Students will work on modifying a tea pot, design and learn about simulation and animation in addition to other basic fusion 360 features. One lesson per week for Eight weeks. $120.

Outschool is making free and reduced classes available to many students in affected school districts. My classes are tech-based for ages 10-18. Here are some I have openings in:

CAMP FORMAT classes (meets 5 days for 1 week, under $100):

Animation and Programming with Alice (ages 10-14): Learn how to position characters in a 3D virtual world and have them move and talk, and create digital stories using Alice 3.0 software (free). Week of April 6 at either 8 a.m. US CST or 3 p.m. US CST. The previous week has sold out both sessions, so if you're interested, book now!

LIVE WEEKLY classes (all under $100 for 6 weekly sessions):

Computer-Aided Drafting and Design: 3/19 - 4/23 at 12 p.m. US CST Thursdays *OR* 4/6 - 5/11 at 6 p.m. US CST Mondays. 1x/wk for 6 weeks. Ages 13-18. Learn how to draft and design a table lamp using Fusion 360 software (free for students).

Beginning Modeling and 3D Animation: 3/20 - 4/24 at 4 p.m. US CST Fridays *OR* 3/22 - 5/3 at 4 p.m. US CST Sundays. 1x/wk for 6 weeks. Middle/High Schoolers. Learn how to model 3D objects and animate a bouncing ball, make a figure walk, using Autodesk Maya software (free for students)

Robotics Programming for VEX IQ: 3/22 - 5/3 at 5 pm. US CST Sundays. 1x/wk for 6 weeks. Ages 10-15. Requires additional software license for virtual robot platform (approx. $50-$100) but does not require you to have a physical robot.

Animation and Programming with Alice: 3/24 - 4/28 @ 1 p.m. US CST Tuesdays. 1x/wk for 6 weeks. Middle/High School students. Learn how to position characters in a 3D virtual world and have them move and talk, and create digital stories using Alice 3.0 software (free).

Programming Methods with Alice: 4/16 - 5/11 @ 10 a.m. US CST Mondays. 1x/wk for 6 weeks. Ages 12-17. Some previous programming or Alice experience is helpful, but I will welcome computer-savvy beginners for this class. This will be one long project integrating variables, methods, functions, etc. to program a "War-like" card game.

FLEX classes: These are a weekly format, but no live meetings. Students watch an instructional video and participate in online discussions during the week. Teachers have access to the teacher for questions and help during the week. These run for 6 weeks:

CAD flex class (see description of live CAD class above). Age 13-18. 3/22 - 5/3.

Maya flex class (see description of 3D Modeling/Animation above). Ages 13-18. 3/22 - 5/3.

I will be scheduling more FLEX sections of the Alice Level 1 and Alice Level 2 classes soon.

ONGOING classes: These meet weekly and you are charged weekly unless you unenroll. You can unenroll/re-enroll at any time. Only $13/week.

Hacking High School Club starting March 24 at 5 p.m. US CST. This is a discussion-based club format for high school students to discuss share technology concepts/projects/etc. and discuss cybersecurity and new technology.
