We even provided laundry detergent and dryer sheets! Thank you to all the seniors that showed up today and we will see you next month!

We were thrilled to honor and celebrate our veterans who joined us for a day of fellowship and fun.

Our Veterans Brunch, part of the Dallas Legacy Mission Veterans Luncheon series, brought veterans together to connect, share stories, and receive valuable support. These events create a strong sense of community and show our unwavering appreciation.

🎉 Yesterday was a heartwarming success! The Last Patrol prepared 26 meals for our unsheltered neighbors, featuring delicious Barbecue Chicken sandwiches, potato salad, coleslaw, and bottled water.

We are thrilled to announce that seven deserving Hispanic students have been awarded the 2024 HOGAR de Dallas and Dallas Legacy Mission Scholarships! These scholarships are made possible by a generous contribution from Dallas Legacy Mission, Inc., who is dedicated to helping students reach their educational goals.

To qualify for these scholarships, students traced four generations of their paternal and maternal lineages and composed insightful essays that highlighted historical events during their ancestors' lifetimes. Their essays also revealed new information learned through their research and the challenges faced in discovering their family histories.

Congratulations to all the recipients! We are incredibly proud of your hard work and dedication. Your commitment to understanding and honoring your heritage is truly inspiring.

🎉 **Community Highlights** 🎉

This past week, we had the pleasure of serving a Father’s Day meal to the seniors at The West Dallas Multipurpose Center -WDMC, Casa Trevino, and Mabel Meshack. A huge thank you to Frost Bank (2231 Singleton Blvd, Dallas) for sponsoring these wonderful senior citizen luncheons. 🍽️

We also shared delicious cake & cupcakes with the seniors at Martin Weiss Recreation Center. 🍰🧁

Here are three brief reasons why it’s important for seniors to enjoy a hot meal together:

1. **Social Connection:** Sharing a meal fosters community and combats loneliness.

2. **Nutritional Benefits:** Hot meals ensure seniors receive essential nutrients.
