This time last year I found this old and random chewed up piece of post-it on the floor of my office written in my own handwriting.

I wrote in my journal the day I found it, “A message from my spirit guides: What is hidden in the dark will be revealed to you in the light.”

One year later in life and in business, and they have made good on their promise. I am where the light is. Once you see, you can’t unsee.

In other words, problems and suffering that are formed in the context of relationships (such as trauma, loss, abuse, neglect), can only be healed in the context of caring and nurturing relationships.

This is a message of hope. Now that we know how trauma harms the brain, we also know that nurturing experiences through trusting relationships can literally heal and re-wire the brain! That’s the power in connection.

Identify the safe people in your life who have proven they can hold space for you. Choose to trust and take a chance, be vulnerable, and let the true you be seen and heard.
