There are just two words that can alter your mindset from negative to positive, maintain your composure, and keep your blood pressure in check, even when you are losing 5-1 in a race to 7.

I was competing against someone yesterday in a race to 5. I was trailing 4-2 and was feeling anxious, concerned, and dissatisfied with my performance. He ultimately defeated me 5-3. This motivated me to issue a rematch, which he accepted; a 9-ball race to 5.

During this game, I discovered those two words: Just Smile. I made the decision to just smile, and I immediately felt a release of anger, doubt, and frustration. This allowed me to focus on my pre-shot routine without any mental distractions, and I managed to pull off a 5-0 victory.

It is solely you out there. Do not help your opponents by allowing your own thoughts to get the best of you.

13 - 9... then taps into a WILL and FOCUS I've rarely seen on a pool table to make it 13 (Gorst) - 14 (Kaci).

Gorst ended up taking the last two games with a TRY HARDNESS you'd expect from USAs FargoRate #1 player. But what heart Kaci showed. Even though you're down in a match, it doesn't mean you give into the pressure or give up on yourself. Keep fighting and and you'll yeild positive results.

I think Kaci's $100,000 2nd place prize will ease his pain. 💰🤑💰🤑

❗️I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED❗️

Last night, my team unfortunately lost to a lower-ranked team, despite their great sportsmanship. I must admit that my mind was preoccupied due to personal matters, as well as the responsibilities of being a captain and a player. I even made an uncharacteristic mistake by hitting the wrong ball. While it may seem cliché, these things happen to everyone.

In such moments, it's natural to feel like you've let your team down and think, "If only I had won my match, we could have won the game." You might also question why you couldn't rely on your pre-shot routine to maintain focus.

However, it's important to remember that life happens, and we are all human. Instead of being overly critical of yourself, take some time to reflect on the match in private and come back stronger the next day.

Just because I lost last night doesn't mean I'll allow myself to remain defeated today! I'll still...
