From concept and design, to materials, to actual construction, this bar was a total team collaboration! It couldn’t have turned out any more beautiful!!! The front is an old freezer door, the sides and trim are salvaged cedar, and the top is aged rough-sawn pine and oak.

There are some days I am glad that I moved that old tarp.

Mother Nature’s wild winds blew down the materials needed to build this nice planter trellis for one of the many mini gardens at the VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain! I can’t wait to see what grows!

It’s been a hot second since our last post so here’s an update on the next project at The Lily!

This little building is getting a makeover! Meet the soon-to-be lumber storage shed! But before it holds any materials we have to strip it to the bare bones... demolition time!

Gathering can be a precarious process but nothing beats the morning sunshine coming through the cracks of an old barn!

This was just some more fun from this weekends haul.

So here’s the first look into The Lily! This shop has endless potential and I’m excited to keep posting as progress is made to transform it from the metal shop it used to be to the place where salvage materials take on a second life!

And as shown in the pic, the potential projects and pieces are only limited by inspiration!

Both pieces of wood have stood silent in an abandoned building for over 50 years. A building that was going to either be burned or buried. I took some time to knock off the rough edges from the board on the right and was elated by the beauty underneath!

There is some truth behind the saying, “One man’s junk is another man’s treasure”

Just a few new things around the Lily. These hooks add just the right accent to any hallway or bedroom. Strong enough for coats and handbags, yet chic enough for keys or jewelry.

This morning’s view from the workshop. Made possible by the plethora of ideas and projects to come! Stay tuned for photos of finished works!

Sometimes when I’m out collecting materials and inspiration, I come across unique items that are just begging for their story to continue.

These window are no exception! They are big and beautiful! Measuring 80”x 38” of vintage single pane glass with wood frame. They would make a perfect statement piece for a flower garden or any room in the house!

I have 5 of thes windows on hand. PM me for more info!

Pick up or delivery options available.

She finally has a base!!

The inspiration for this table came from my college roommate who decided to take a nap underneath the evergreen trees on campus during her walk back to the apartment from a night out. Showing up with foliage in her hair and her back covered in dirt and grass, she had the most refreshing smile on her face as she told us the story of how she just needed an little nap. That unforgettable smile. Rest easy Amanda.

**SOLD**

This table would make a beautiful bistro table for any patio or deck. Much like the trees Amanda napped under, the base is a cedar root ball with a cedar planked top. She is built to be outside, but would also make a great indoor statement piece. PM me for details.

It’s crazy what a little bit of sanding can do! Out with the old, in with the new! Happy New Year!!

They’re all legs! I’ll have finished product pics later this week!

These step stools have been another project that was a super fun way for me to test out some new skills and tools! The tops are from a pine log from the Keweenaw atop ironwood legs. Sturdy enough to hold up to 200lbs or perfect for that rustic decor.

It’s been a little crazy in the shop with opportunities to grab matierials popping up and new projects always in the works. This is one of the projects I was able to finish up for a beautiful young lady who just bought her first house!! This headboard was a lot of fun to build!

11/29/2020

Can’t wait to see what type of legs this little beauty is going to sport!! Stay tuned!!

This is a custom display I built this summer for True North Outpost with some of the original wood from the building they restored. Not only does it have built in storage for back stock but it is also set on castors so they can easily move it when rearranging the store! I couldn’t be happier with how that old wood cleaned up!

Photos from Nuclear Lily's post 11/19/2020

Here’s a sneak peak at a couple center pieces I’ve been working on. They are perfect for any table, desk, or counter space! There are a couple on display at True North Outpost and I will post pics of more to come! $25 (plus shipping if applicable) Message me if you are interested or stop down at TNO and see them for yourself!
