Inspired by his Native American roots the ANTA KAI 1 is the newest shoe release by Dallas Mavericks' Kyrie Irving. Senior Graphic Designer Astin Davis incorporated ancient hieroglyphics and ciphers. ANTA’s Color Design Director, Shaneika Warden made the decision to have each color correspond to a discipline within @kyriecenter’s basketball abilities such as agility, focus, and speed within the Orange, Purple, and Blue’s. With “The Journey is the reward” engraved into the midsole. Blaine Mcgowan Creative Director of Sneaker Politics said the event was long awaited. With a part of Main St. shut down to host a 3v3 basketball tournament for adults as well as The Mavs drumline and current players making appearances. Hundreds waited inline to be the first of 250 for the $125 sneaker. 📹 johnathan Johnson

More than 60 years ago, Dallas leaders, educators and television executives came together to launch something radical — a TV station that educates as much as it entertains. KERA 13, known then as "The Little Red Schoolhouse of the Air," was born. Today as the NPR and PBS member station for our region, we work to inform and empower North Texans through trusted news, education, and arts and culture programming. We are participating in North Texas Giving Day, an annual nonprofit fundraising event. If you plan to give, please consider a donation to KERA / KXT / WRR 101.
