Despite the thick cloud cover that Dallas picked up, I had the full impact of sweet tiny voices of kids from my neighborhood elementary school gleefully cheering on the eclipse as some dumb # were also shooting guns in the air. Yeah, PLURAL, in a residential area near a baby school.

Only in Texas.

I’m all about Amethyst these days. How about you? I have been making large stone bracelets for awhile but these giants in amethyst in this shape might be my favorite.

Not for the faint of heart because you will get asked about it. No they are not heat treated or colorized. They are that pretty with an African brass piece in the center.

I’m ready for warm weather yall! We’ve had fog, rain and cold weather in Dallas for days.

On such a dreary day I thought I’d show y’all my Mother of Pearl thunderbird on cube cut Amethyst! A new gemstone for a popular necklace that has done well in cinnamon colored garnet and yes, turquoise!

Hi lovelies, it’s time for an intro! Hi I’m Deepa and I’m the designer and army-of-one behind Breathe Deep Designs.

That’s me in my favorite place - the international gem and mineral show in Tucson, AZ.

I obsessively create beautiful small batch designs from precious metals and gemstones for those who have the spirit to wander. My work is ethically sourced and thoughtfully designed precious little pieces that are inspired by the world and made in Dallas, Texas.

I’ve been offline a bit because I went down with a fantastic case of strep 🤒throat right during my busy season after thanksgiving!

I was so sick, I had to cancel my yearly Holiday Trunkshow with Pinto Ranch Dallas last weekend. It was a huge disappointment because I love seeing y’all each time, and well, they know how to throw a Trunk Show!

Can you believe my social media assistant did not post during this time??? oh wait that’s me…😳

Now that I’m ’back at it’ and all caught up by on orders- I’ve added complimentary shipping to my website for any orders over $50 to help you shop!

Last but not least, there’s lapis lazuli! 4 new stretch malas will drop at the end of next week.

The bright cobalt blue of lapis has made it a favorite in every country. The gold flecks are from pyrite and definitely add to its beauty when present in the stone.

Hi my lovelies, I’ve been working on something very special. Here’s a hint September is National Yoga Month 🥰

I’ve been practicing yoga for 25 years and found it after my body felt broken from several injuries sustained in a horrible car accident.

After years of playing competitive tennis, then Tae-Bo (remember that?) and being a gym rat, I thought my best physical days were over.

Yoga healed more than my body- it taught me to be more kind to myself and my expectations. I also met some incredible people along the way.

Remember: Health is not a linear journey.

Over the years my practice changed as my age, life and needs changed. But the love I feel for yoga and it’s impact on my body and stress has not.

Today, I lean heavily on my mobility work as I make jewelry and do ‘all the things’ a small business of one GETS to do.

Have you had a similar experience with your exercise health pursuits? I’d love to hear it.

I feel like we all need to evolve our health to keep up all that life offers. Let me hear yours.

Hi lovelies, who loves amethyst? I do, I do! Especially cube cut.

I’ve been obsessed with cube cut since I first bought them in Tucson in 2018 and still look for the best quality today!

Each amethyst is cut into perfect cubes and by adding a tiny bead in between them, I bring out visibility of this pretty shape.

This is the most adorable mid length necklace that falls to your chest.
