The young patriots and staff at Harry McKillop Elementary in Melissa went above and beyond as we prepare to recognize and celebrate our veterans with handmade greetings during this year's National Salute to Veteran Patients week. Much like their school's tremendous namesake, these students are making plans to change the world!

UPS plays a vital role in supporting our domestic supply chain and we are proud to have a regional hub right here in McKinney providing hundreds of jobs across North Texas. Enjoyed touring their facility alongside local leadership and learning about their many efforts to strengthen our communities.

The Technicbots based in Plano recently won one of the most prestigious international competitions in Robotics, the FIRST Global Challenge, while competing as Team USA. With over 190 nations participating, I’m proud that Collin County is home to this STEM powerhouse.

Our region is privileged to have Envision Dallas as a tremendous resource in our backyard which serves more than 150,000 people who are blind or visually impaired. During my visit, I was in awe of the amazing things they’re doing to provide life changing support and help people maintain their independence through employment initiatives and strategic partnerships.
