Last weekend, the firm hosted the 2024 Women's Summit, which gathered attorneys and summer associates from offices around the U.S. and London for professional development, networking and informal mentoring. It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of our friend and partner, Tom Tippetts, whose brilliance manifested in his intellectual curiosity, work and mentorship skills. Tom was an armchair culture critic—as content to discuss metaphysics and the human mind as he was playoff basketball and indie rock music. Even his unrelenting humility could not hide that he was often the smartest person in the room.

Tom joined Haynes Boone in 2006, became a partner in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group in 2014 and played a crucial role in the growth of our Denver office.

Our heartfelt condolences go to his family, including his wife, Sarah, and their children, Tess, Adelle and William.

In Memoriam: Thomas L. Tippetts, 1977-2024 It is with great sorrow that Haynes Boone shares the loss of our partner and friend of many years, Tom Tippetts, who passed away at 46 years old on Tuesday, June 4.

Haynes Boone is proud to announce a new partnership with United to Learn allowing the firm to expand its volunteer efforts. Supporting education has long been a focus for the firm and its founders.
