Did you know….
The BEST Time to Organize your closet is at the end of a season. For example in October after Spring & Summer and in April after Fall & Winter.
At that point everything is still fresh in your mind and you know exactly what you wore and what you didn’t.
This makes it so much easier to let go of items you no longer Use, Need or Love!

Every time you purchase something with a cord or charger, label it with the name of the item it goes back to. For example: Camera, Camcorder, Laptop, etc. That way there is never a question of which charger, goes back to which product.
Also, be sure to label them with the coordinating initials of the person whom it belongs. This especially helps when you have multiple family members living in your home, that have similar products and chargers 🔌
Every single room or space in your home should have a purpose.
Once you have decided exactly what that purpose should be, you will know what should and should not be stored there.
At that point you can remove all the items that do not belong in that space and distribute them around your home, into their appropriate location.
If at anytime during the process, you find something you Do Not Use, Need or Love, then it’s time to let that item(s) go. And if you have to think about it, then you do not need it! 😊

I always say…
Clutter + Mess = Stress
Ask yourself: Can you see your kitchen counters. Is your desk covered with mail & papers. Are there beauty products & toiletries, all over your bathroom counter. Can you see the floor in your closet. Can you fit a car in your garage.
Dealing with Clutter is not a one time thing you just put on a “to do” list. It’s a daily routine, a way of life. Try creating some new positive habits to help take back your space:
-Put everything back exactly where you found it
-Tidy up as you go, don’t wait till tomorrow
-Always have a donation bag going
-Keep a grocery list with you when you shop, so you don’t buy items not needed
-When the dryer or dishwasher is done, it’s now your time to put things away
-If you don’t want to deal with new mail every day, then come up with a system that works for you
-Make sure you have an updated “to do” list going at all time
These are just a few. PLEASE comment ⬇️ and share any tips you personally use to keep your home decluttered
At the heart of every tradition, is a meaningful experience! ♥️
Traditions and rituals often tell the story about who you are. They serve as reminders of events and help create a positive personal identity. As we honor tradition, we learn to truly honor ourselves and each other.
✨What is your favorite tradition?
YOU can get through anything! ♥️
✨You are strong
✨You are important
✨You are enough
✨Believe in yourself
✨Your feelings are valid
It’s so important to remember to enjoy the good times while having experiences and making memories verses basing your happiness on things.
Life is about moments, NOT objects and stuff!
Are messy drawers taking over your home or office? If so, don’t fret you’ve got this!
1) Pick a drawer, pull everything out and sort like items together
2) Purge all items you do not use, need, or love
3) Before you put anything back in, be sure and clean the drawer really well
4) Add inserts to help keep your categories sorted, so your drawer does not end up back where it started
5) Neatly return all items back into your drawer
✨And it’s just that easy✨

Celebrating being my organizing business of 17 years!
I started January of 2006 at the age of 37 and here I am all these years later, still chugging along. And the best part, still loving every second of it! 🎉
Every room in your home should have a purpose!! The kitchen is for cooking, the bedroom for sleeping, the office for working, etc.
When rooms in your home do not have a purpose, they tend to become dumping grounds for random items, which can lead to a cluttered disorganized mess.
I recommend coming up with a plan to start emptying the clutter and tackle the mess, one item at a time.
Then you can create a vision for that room and give it purpose, so you can finally start utilizing the space.
✨ This is the time to live, love, and enjoy every room in your home! ✨

In less than five minutes a day, you can make clutter more manageable and your home happier and healthier.
Not everyone is super organized, so breaking down projects into five minute tasks every day helps make clearing clutter more manageable and easily attainable in your busy every day life.
I’m challenging all of you, starting tomorrow to make your bed when you wake up.
Why… Because making your bed really does start your day off right, instantly making your bedroom look nice and neat. This will help perpetuate other good habits throughout the day.
Plus, studies have shown that making your bed increases your happiness 😊
Being organized isn't about getting rid of everything you own or trying to become a different person. It’s about living the way you want to live, but much better!
In just half a day this closet was completely transformed. After losing weight and two sizes, half of the clothes no longer fit.
Luckily with some good old fashion sorting & purging, we ended up with 8 black trash bags of clothes, shoes, and belts for donation. 4 white kitchen bags of trash and lots of recycle. It was a super successful day with a very happy client! 😊
What would you do?
If you had the choice between receiving $1 million OR being reunited with a loved one whom you’ve lost, which would you choose?
This is just for fun, No judgment and there is absolutely No wrong answer!

Organizing paperwork can seem very frustrating, because there’s always more coming into your home. Despite that, you do not have to let paperwork take over. Like any other organizing project, you’re going to start with the first step “SORT”. Put everything into 3 main piles:
1) FILE - Anything you may need to refer back to or requires an action. (To do, to pay, etc.) These can later be filed, put in binders, boxes, organized piles, or any other system that works for you.
2) RECYCLE - Items you no longer need and they have absolutely “NO” personal information on them. These items are ready to go right into your recycling bin.
3) SHRED - Items you no longer need, but they do have personal information on them.
For Example:
Name & Address
Driver’s License info
Social Security info
Account numbers
Passwords & PIN numbers
These items all need to be shredded, by an actual shredder. Please promise me you will not just tear them into little tiny pieces, because that will not work 😊

⭐️ Since I’m so organized, I’m obviously the Monica! Which Friends character are you? ⭐️
Organizing Tip of the Day:
Never let a best friend do stupid things alone! ♥️
The 5 main steps in Organizing:
1 - SORT like items together
2 - PURGE anything you do not Use, Need, or Love
3 - CONTAIN your items if needed into a box, basket, bin, drawer insert, etc. This will help keep them together.
4 - LABEL the containers so everyone knows what is inside. If there is a large item that is not being contained, you can label the shelf in which it sits.
5 - STORE your items in their new permanent home
Following these 5 basic steps will help you Organize, your Organizing. They apply to pretty much every organizing project you may have in your home or office. Plus, they will keep you on task, save you time, and help contribute to a successful outcome.
* Do you have any organizing questions for me?
I’m currently scheduling organizing days for February and March 😊
It’s Fashion Friday!
And I could not be more excited to tell you about the House of Colour McKinney. Ladies, with our clothing 👗 and makeup 💄 we all wear colors we think look good on us. The question is, “Are they really the BEST Colors for us OR our WOW Colors”?
Everyone falls into one of four seasons: Autumn, Winter, Spring, or Summer. For awhile now I’ve been wanting to get my colors analyzed and I finally found the perfect color stylist to help me, Brooke Gehm. This girl really knows her stuff!
In a short period of time Brooke was able to determine my season, as Winter. At that point we went through the 36 winter colors and found the best 10 for me. Now I can wear all 36, but my top 10 are my WOW Colors.
It truly was an eye-opening 👀 experience. Since then I’ve even purchased all new make up with fun colors I would not normally be wearing. 🌐 I’ll put the link to Brooke’s website in my comments
What season do you think you are? All 4 choices are pictured:

Organizing Tip of the Day:
Colors speak louder than words. And wearing the right colors for your skin tone will make your complexion glow, your eyes sparkle, and your wrinkles less noticeable. Unflattering colors will do completely the opposite, so I would avoid them like the plague! (Or like Covid 😂)
It’s Working Wednesday!
I’m so Excited 🎉 to share with all of you that it’s my 16 year business anniversary. I started organizing in January of 2006 when I was only 37 years old and here I am all these years later in my 50’s still chugging along. And for the record I have not even remotely slowed down 😂
It’s crazy to me how quickly it has all gone by. I think the fact that I absolutely LOVE ♥️ what I do has a lot to do with it! And I truly feel so blessed and want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart who have supported me over the past decade and a half. I am definitely one 🍀LUCKY LADY🍀
