Joe Willy's Fundraiser was a success!!
Our Sassy Sista's CWC fundraiser at Joe Willy’s in Rockwall, TX was a great success! Everyone had a lot of fun for a good cause: C.U.R.E. (Childhood Cancer Research) https://curechildhoodcancer.org.
If you would like to learn more about what our Sistas do, go to https://sassysistascwc.com.
You don’t have to be a Grandmother to join or help.
If you want to be a poll watcher, check out protectthevote. Com/Texas to register. We gotta do our part. The Nov. election is very important.
On August 17th, our Sassy Sista's group got together for a Bunco Party at the beautiful home in Fate, Texas of Geree Hayes. The food was great and everyone brought sides and desserts to complement Geree and Vicky Gillespie's great pulled pork sliders.
It was awesome to get together for a fun afternoon to socialize and
everyone had a great time. Coral Ware brought all the supplies to
play the Bunco game.
Our winners for the day were:
Bunco Queen - Holly Ingram
Most Baby Buncos - Christine Henderson
Most Buncos - Blanca
50/50 Drawing - Diane Wilson (this is where we all put money into a pot and draw a name who gets 50% of the pot and 50% of the pot goes to the club).
Thank you to everyone who attended the Bunco game, and who made this a fun-filled event. And thank you to our hostesses, Gerry Hayes and Vicky Gillispie for all your work pulling this event together.
If you would be interested in joining our group or attending some of our activities, contact Diane Wilson (founder) at 972-567-5215 or Coral Ware (VP) at 214-505-0310.

On July 25th four of the Sassy Sistas (Shirley Zaeske, Diane Wilson, Coral Ware, and Holly Ingram) from the Sassy Sista's Grandmothers Club met at the Iris Theater in Terrell, Texas. Kristin Vance came from the Tyler area to do a make-up class with BELLAME make up. Everyone had a great time and instead of glamour shots, we had Sassy shots with the transformation of this wonderful make up.
Gail Harris allowed us to use the facility and it was truly a fun experience.
You never know what our Grandmother Club will be up to and we would love to welcome you at our next outing. You may contact Diane Wilson at 972-567-5215 and we would be happy to tell you about any upcoming activities to see if that would be something you would enjoy doing with us.
Our Grandmother Club was formed to empower ladies and two raise funds to help children in all areas. The funds we raise are donated to C.U.R.E for childhood cancer research and the Arms of Hope’s Boles Home in Quinlan, Texas.
Sassy sistas wishes you a safe and happy 4th of July.

Happy Memorial Day from Sassy Sistas.
Just sending some love to all mothers, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers. Love you guys.
Just wanted to follow up on our activities at the Terrell Jubilee on 4/27 and 4/28. We had a great day on Saturday 4/27, nice weather and we got all set up by the deadline. We had some beautiful handcrafted items for sale.
We had a "sign up for a free bear" contest where we drew names every hour and many people got to come back to the booth and pick out the bear they wanted (I'm enclosing some pictures).
Unfortunately, on Saturday night at 11:30 p.m., Angie Cooper (Terrell Chamber) tried to contact us to come and pack up our booth because of really bad weather, but couldn't get hold of anyone (I'm sure we were dead asleep by then). So Angie and three of the Chamber members (Heather Duda, Bard Owl Games; Christi Dodey, Whisked Away Bake House; and Emily Belk, Original Visuals) took it upon themselves to pack our entire booth up, take down the tent, and carry it safe and sound to the Chamber's office. Needless to say, we couldn't thank them enough.
I sent a big thank you letter to Carlton Tidwell (CEO and President, Terrell Chamber of Commerce) to let him know what those sweet ladies did and how much we appreciate them. If they hadn't done that, everything would have been ruined, no doubt. I packaged up some of the handcrafted pendants and keychains and asked Mr. Tidwell to please pass them along to the ladies.
We also met lots of people, one signed up to be a member (Yeah), and others took our information to check us out.
I think it was a great success, was fun getting ready to do this event, and was fun at the event. Plus, we raised some money for our charities and that's always a good thing.
Enjoy the pics
Hope to see you all this Saturday and Sunday in booth 142.
A preview of some of the items we will have at the Terrell Jubilee on 4/27 and 4/28. In Booth #142. Hope to see you there!
Also a preview of the jewelry and keychains that will be in our booth at the Terrell Jubilee on 4/27 and 4/28, booth #142
We hope you have a wonderful Columbus Day.
Happy Labor Day. We thank all workers and appreciate your contributions to society.
Sassy Sistas held their 4th Annual Bunco Fundraiser at the Terrell First Baptist Church on Saturday, August 26, 2023. We welcomed some new players as well as guests that play with us each year. By all accounts, we had a great time and were successful in raising funds for our charity C.U.R.E. Childhood Cancer https://curechildhoodcancer.org
