Day in the Life of Moxi
Come along for a day in the life of one of our Moxi robots as it completes deliveries and tasks around Clements University Hospital (CUH). Thanks to these robots, they have saved our CUH staff over 23.2 million steps, making nearly 50,000 deliveries since they joined #UTSW in December 2022. Nestor Pereza | Heart Transplant Patient
After his transfer to UT Southwestern from Parkland Memorial Hospital, Nestor Pereza was approved for a heart transplant. Having received the gift of life through transplant, Nestor now looks forward to the many bright years to come with his young son and new, stronger heart.

UT Southwestern Celebrates Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, 2024
Earlier this week, the #UTSouthwestern community celebrated Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. Our Office for Institutional Opportunity organized the event, which featured a keynote address by Saad Omer, M.B.B.S, Ph.D., Dean of the Peter O’Donnell Jr. School of Public Health. The festivities concluded with a lively cultural lion dance to honor this special month. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

2024 Nurses Week
All week long we've been recognizing some of our nurses who provide world-class patient care. In celebration of #NursesWeek, nurses from all over the #UTSW health system competed against each other in a Spirit Week-inspired video contest. Grateful Patient
In 2007, a chronic kidney disease diagnosis led to a challenging journey for Maureen Silvestre. Pregnancy was considered risky due to the disease. Despite losing her first child, Hans, she received exceptional care at UT Southwestern. A successful kidney transplant from an anonymous donor restored her health. A second pregnancy, termed a 'rainbow baby', brought joy back into the Silvestre's lives.

Our UT Southwestern Pulmonary and Thoracic teams showcased the robotic advances in lung, upper GI, and hepatic surgery last month. Our team was thrilled to offer a sneak peek at the Thoracic Oncology Mobile Experience. Stay tuned for more groundbreaking news! #UTSW #technology

Uninsured and with a family history of cancer, Vantrille Patterson noticed blood in her stool at 47. She received a free, at-home cancer screening kit from UT Southwestern's Moncrief Cancer Institute in Fort Worth, which helped detect cancer early. Today, she is cancer-free, offering hope to others. https://bit.ly/4cZ34WS

UT Southwestern's Transplant Program recently reached a significant milestone, completing its 1,000th liver transplant.
