Acceptance letters will be emailed no later than April 1, 2024.
As explained in the Information Sessions, our goal is to email the letters before Spring Break (March 11); however, if more time is needed, letters will be emailed by April 1.

It's been a busy week in the ADN program! Students learned to don and doff PPE in the lab.
They also had the opportunity to serve as jury members at the Texas Nurse's Association- District 4- Mock Trial.
Thank you Prevent Blindness Texas for providing invaluable clinical experiences for our students. We are grateful for our partnership.
It's been a busy week for our first semester students. They focused on multiple basic nursing skills.
Several ADN students participated in a Wilderness First Aid Experience in Waxahachie. Faculty- Lindsey Barak oversaw the students while they learned about signs and symptoms associated with their injuries.
Freshman ADN students recently completed a Community Teaching project. The group project required them to do a community need's assessment, and then create an evidence-based teaching presentation.
We were excited to partner with area high schools to present the projects to students within the Health Science programs. We appreciate Ben Barber in Mansfield, Ennis High School, Corsicana High School, Global in Waxahachie, Heritage in Midlothian, and Waxahachie High School for allowing us to teach your students!

This week, our freshman ADN students participated in an end-of-semester simulation. They practiced shift reporting, delegation, and prioritization while caring for multiple clients. They did a fantastic job!
The deadline to submit applications for the RN-to-BSN program is May 1, 2023.
You can still apply if you have pre-requisite courses to take. They must be completed before classes begin this fall.

βI Would've Done It Over and Over Again': Texas Nurse Helps Wounded Man While on Miami Beach Vacation A Texas nurse was in South Florida on vacation when she said she was in the right place at the right time.
ADN students volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Corsicana.
This week, Associate Degree Nursing students attended TNA's Nurse Day at the Capitol where nurses joined together to advocate for the nursing profession. Participants also visited with individual legislators.

If you still need to take the TEAS in order to apply for the Traditional ADN program, the NC Testing Center on the Corsicana campus will be open on Saturday, 2/4/23, from 10am to 2pm.
Traditional ADN applications are due 2/6/23.
Due to inclement weather, the Traditional ADN application deadline for 2023 admission has been extended to Monday, 2/6/2023. Applications must be hand delivered to the campus or postmarked by the deadline.
All Navarro College campuses will remain closed on Thursday, 2/2/2023.
If you or someone you know is needing to submit an ADN application for 2023 admission, all NC campuses are closed the rest of today and tomorrow, 1/31. Applications are due Friday, 2/3/23 by 5pm.
If mailing an application, it must be postmarked by 2/3/23 (see website for mailing address).

Ms. Lindsey and our sophomore LVN-RN Bridge students participated in the Kerens Elementary Turkey Trot and Health Fair. They provided the community with information regarding nutrition.
Last day of lecture for our freshman group. Ms. Rozelle presented gastrointestinal content and included a little "friendly" competition. :)
Our students get very creative when practicing for skills validations from home!!
