Do you want to install drywall over concrete? No problem I can do that for you! Just installed 12' 20ga. 1-1/2" metal furring (hat channel) over concrete ceilings 16" o.c. on the 1st floor of a condo in Venice on the water, by myself in the living room, dining room, spare bedroom and master bedroom ceilings. Next the electrical is completed and then I come back to install the drywall with a free code standard taping/compounding application followed by a Santa Fe skip dash troweled texture I'll apply. Easy speezy

Where I'm working this week.

In Florida you often see trusses for the roof framing of homes. Trusses are also 24" o.c. yet they still install 1/2" drywall on the ceilings (underside of the trusses). Manufacturer recommends in the USG handbook, any framing spanover 16" o.c. to be of 5/8" in thickness. This is what a ceiling looks like overtime using 1/2".

Homeowners in Rotunda West contacted me to remove the lighting, trim, infill with a new drywall patch, tape, finish and add texture. They planned on removing old flourecent lighting in the kitchen soffits, and 3 bathroom soffits replacing lighting with new LED lights after the painting was completed. You can see the progress photos and final pic of kitchen soffits with new LED lights.
Looks beautiful and we have a new customer that is very happy. Job well done!

Today I removed an extremely water damaged piece of drywall on a attic ceiling in Venice approx. 2' x 3'. The drywall was actually rotted. End result was a beautiful new ceiling. Steve (homeowner) was extremely happy.

Fixed several large connecting cracks on a customers spare bedroom ceiling. Finished by matching the existing swirl ceiling texture. Go ahead enlarge the last pic and take a look for yourself. It's an amazing match.

Replaced an extremely water damaged 4'x 8' piece of drywall on a garage ceiling in Venice today with texture applied

Removed several old intercoms throughout a home in Rotunda, patched, taped & finished then applied wall texture to match existing walls. As if it were never there.

Here's a popcorn ceiling repair from today. On the ceiling between the dining room and the living room. Plastic is applied to the ceiling all the way around making a tent like enclosure to protect from overspray

Water damage repair of wall / ceiling outside corner (cornerbead) in a master bedroom. Removed damaged corner bead, applied stain block primer to the water stains, reinstalled new corner bead, compounded and painted. Beautiful finish and match of color

Plasterboard substrate installed, bonding agent applied and fiberglass mesh tape over the seams. Ready for base coat of plaster using Structolite brand base coat plaster

Texturing added to the white coat of plaster matching existing design. Ready for the painter

BEFORE- repairing of cracked splayed ceiling angle. Apparently original fasteners not properly installed and/or enough.
AFTER- Removed damaged joint tape, added screws, retaped & compounded then applied a splatter knockdown texture matching existing texture.
Painting by others when dry.

I started and finished a water damage job in Harbor Isles, Mariner Drive today. The customer had 12"×12" tongue and groove ceiling tiles. It was challenging but I was able to remove 10 tiles and reinstall new tiles matching perfectly. Another happy customer.

Previous garage water damage ceiling repair was started by others but never completed. Sheetrock installed improperly. I installed fasteners, taped & finished the sheetrock adding a splatter knockdown texture matching the existing ceiling texture perfectly in Englewood.

Want to hang something very heavy on your walls? No problem... I installed inwall wood blocking in this home and reinstalled the same piece of sheetrock cut out, next A three coat taping application, then applied new splatter texture to match existing ready to paint
