Germaine on Main 2.0 was a success! Thank you to all our lovely guests for attending. At the event, community members were able to take a stab at printmaking, participate in a raffle for a stunning print by Germaine, or purchase work directly from the artist. We are so proud of Germaine and the work he has done not only to build resilience but also to model it for our community.
Our final sneak peek of Germaine’s art highlights the work “Frocus”. This piece is representative of how Community Love is a key value in everything Germaine does. We had so much fun at Germaine on Main+ last month! It’s so exciting when community members and students get to interact with and learn from each other; from seeing Germaine’s art and hearing about it from videos to listening to live music from Piper Madison, and contributing to a bake sale in support of the Ukrainian Leadership Academy (led by Anastasiia Miroshnikova). We invite everyone to our next Germaine on Main event, where you will get to meet the artist in person! More information coming out about that soon, please DM us if you have any questions.

On Wednesday February 15th, we hosted PURSUIT: Innovative Approaches to Aging, a panel led by Dr. Amanda Pruitt, Dr. Richard Hempel, and Mandy Emmons.
This event is part of a continuous community conversation on the topic of aging and healthcare–a topic that impacts us all and one that calls for collaboration.
Two of our panelists, Mandy Emmons and Dr. Amanda Pruitt, respectively, are past CentreWorks LIFTOFF graduates, whose intentional listening, collaboration and experience in their fields led them to start innovative companies “AgeWell Senior Services” and “GeriActive Physical Therapy and Wellness”. These are indeed Innovative Approaches to Aging!
Their expertise and commitment is greatly appreciated, and we hope to have them back again soon! Don’t hesitate to reach out to us to learn more.

On Wednesday, January 25th at 10:30 am over 40 community members joined us for a presentation and discussion on the impacts of Universal Pre-Kindergarten for Kentuckians. This topic affects our entire community! Let's continue this conversation to stay informed and establish the infrastructure our community needs. Thank you to the Advocate Messenger and Lex 18 for capturing this amazing event. Shoutout to Dr. Patten Mahler for organizing this event and embracing this community challenge with passion and grit.
