Meet Ms. Rachel:
“I coach our competitive team at Evolve as well as do the floor choreography for our higher level development program competitors. I started gymnastics at the age of 4 and ended my competitive career after competing for the University of Iowa, where I met my husband, who is also a familiar face around Evolve. We have three kids, and they keep us busy with their big personalities and activities of their own. My favorite days are when we’re all together swimming, watching movies, or keeping up with our annual traditions like trips to the zoo, the apple orchard, and at least one road trip a year.”

~ FUN FACTS ~
• Favorite savory snack: beef jerky
• Funny superstitions?: The beam will know if you don’t like it so you have to talk nice to it but also still show it who’s boss.
• Family introduction: My husband is Tyler and he is almost everyone’s favorite person. He’s always helpful and I’ve never known anyone more selfless than him. Aside from gymnastics he’s really good at fixing and building things. Elsie is our oldest daughter. She dances at ATB and is one of the most friendly and outgoing people I know. She loves all the girly things like nail polish, make up, and hair accessories. Cole is next, he loves Spiderman, dinosaurs and would rather snack all day instead of eating a real meal. He can be super sweet or super sour, just depends on his mood! Jo is last, she is a firecracker who is never shy about letting everyone know what she wants and not giving up until she gets it, even though she can’t even talk yet! Her favorite things are eating and being snuggled.

Here is a little information from Emma:
I've been doing gymnastics for 12ish years. My favorite event is beam and my highest score was 9.625. I got first place three years in a row at Field of Dreams. I've been beam queen for the longest time and I'm very sad to be ending gymnastics. Next year I hope to attend Cedarville University and become a pediatric nurse.

A HUGE congratulations to Mia Housenga and Haley Duke for being members of the winning Region 4 Level 8 Team. Their scores contributed to Iowa having the highest scoring Level 8 team out of 7 states for the 23/24 season. Congrats, girls! Thanks for representing yourselves, Evolve, and Iowa in such a great way 💙🖤

Congrats to all of these athletes! We can't wait to see what these teams can do this season!
