Check out this article how to lower your customer acquisition costs by improving your customer lifetime value..
10 Ways Increasing CLV Reduces Acquisition Costs As a digital marketing expert for e-commerce websites, my clients are constantly struggling to lower their customer acquisition costs. One of the best ways to do this is to increase the Customer Lifetime Value or (CLV).
Now you can export most of the data from your Google Search Console account. But now what can you do with it that you CAN'T do inside GSC itself?
Here are my top 5 actionable insights from exporting the data out of GSC:
1. Cross-domain data: If you have multiple domains or subdomains, you can aggregate the data from all of them into a single dataset in BigQuery. This can give you a holistic view of your website's performance across all domains and subdomains.
2. Long-term trends: Google Search Console provides data for the past 16 months. However, by exporting the data to BigQuery, you can retain and analyze historical data beyond the 16-month limit, allowing you to track longer-term trends and patterns.
3. Advanced segmentation: BigQuery allows you to segment your data in more advanced ways, such as by device, location, or user behavior. This can help you identify specific audience segments that are performing well or need improvement.
4. Custom analysis: With BigQuery, you can create custom queries and analysis to extract specific insights that are not available through the standard reports in Google Search Console.
5. Integration with other data sources: BigQuery can be integrated with other data sources, such as Google Analytics, CRM data, and social media metrics. This can provide you with a more comprehensive view of your ecommerce store's performance and customer behavior.
Overall, exporting Google Search Console data to BigQuery can provide you with more flexibility and deeper insights to optimize your ecommerce store's performance and drive growth.
Let me know who has tried it and what unique insights you've found that you can't reproduce in GSC directly.
In order to lower your acquisition costs, you have to know which sales channels are driving revenue and which are not.
Do you trust Meta's conversion reporting? Adroll's? Klaviyo's? Even Google's?
You shouldn't.
Each platform has their own attribution model, with some including view throughs as far back as 30 days for conversions.
The only way to have a truth of source for conversion attribution is to use a single tool that can track all visitors, across all devices and sessions.
That's not an easy task, but there are lots of companies working on it.
In a future blog post I'll list out the top attribution tools and let you know which e-commerce platforms they work best with.
So keep your eyes out for that coming next week.
In my own marketing funnel for Acquisition.Stack, I was having trouble getting my hidden fields on my Opt In form from a ClickFunnels landing page to populate directly into my ActiveCampaign contact records.
This allows me to track in my CRM every lead's source, medium, and campaign from my paid ads.
I gave my requirements to a developer on Fiverr, and he wanted $300 and it would take him a day, but since he's in Asia, that's 3 days on the calendar with back and fourth.
So instead, I tried my luck with Chat GPT.
It did take 4 tries to get it right, but that was more training myself on how to ask the question.
The right amount of specificity is needed to get the right answer, especially in more technical cases like a software to software data connection.
Ends up it took me about 20 minutes, including testing, and magic..
I love Chat GPT and can't wait for Google to roll out their version and see if its better!
Structured Data - Use it or Lose it!
If your data on your pages aren't using Google Structured Data best practices, you're shooting yourself in the foot!
In the old days, it was super easy to just use microdata within the HTML of your webpages. But today, it's recommended to step up and use Google's preferred format, JSON-LD.
You can find Google's official documentation on it's JSON recommendation here: https://developers.google.com/search/updates -2023
We care about structured data because it can give your content more visibility across Google's search results. And this additional visibility is FREE.. meaning it the cost of acquisition for this traffic is very low..
Different structured data is exposed on the home page, category pages, product page, & blogs/static content pages.
So talk your developer or E-commerce platform provider today to make sure all structured data types are being exposed in your templates.

You get what you pay for in the SEO world and If you ask an agency for one of their free website audits, you will likely receive something like that you see below. These automated reports are easy to run and generally only take a few seconds for smaller websites. They can be useful and we use these at seo4anyone as well, but these reports lack a few key aspects that a real SEO audit will have.

If there's one question that every search marketer has had to answer for a client, it's this one: Why don't my conversions in Google Ads and Google Analytics match? The answer is simple, yet hard to understand. It's all about your attribution modeling.

The path to purchase on the modern web is complicated.
Frequently, it involves multiple searches, app and website visits, and offline activities. So how can your e-commerce store's SEO influence the buying decision?

There's a lot of misconceptions out there about what an SEO audit is. Primarily, this is due to some agencies providing "free" website analyses and calling them "audits".
https://www.simplistack.com/blog/what-is-included-in-an-seo-audit/
In general, while these can be useful in identifying low-hanging fruit your team can address to improve your rankings, they are not true SEO audits.
From our perspective, this is what needs to be included in an SEO audit worth paying for:
Identification of Metrics and Goals
Technical On-site SEO
Content Marketing Strategy
Competitor & Backlink Analysis
A Roadmap to Optimize the Site & Achieve Goals
Before content can be ranked by Google, which is the primary goal of any SEO campaign, we must first have it discovered, crawled, and indexed.
These are three very distinct things, and we'll take a look why they may not be happening for you here. https://www.simplistack.com/blog/why-isnt-my-content-being-indexed-by-google/
We often see complaints that Google isn't indexing and ranking content. The first step is understanding WHY this is happening, & the logical question you should start with is "Why should they?".
The hard truth: It's not Google's job to find your content & get it in front of people. Instead, it's your job to make content Google finds valuable, and build the correct technical environment around it.
