A new generation of sustainable fungi-based "myco-foods" are growing at UC Davis. The UC Davis Biological and Agricultural Engineering team is creating alternative boba and lab-grown caviar, made from agricultural byproducts. This technology could be an important tool to solve world hunger and reduce agricultural waste. UC Davis College of Engineering

2022 CA&ES College Welcome
We're getting ready for fall! 🎉Today, CA&ES got to welcome hundreds of new freshman and transfer students to the college at the University Credit Union Center.

There’s a buzz in the air when students are brewing a batch of beer at UC Davis’ state-of-the-art brewing facility. For Joe Williams, a Sierra Nevada Brewing Company endowed brewer who is working on his Ph.D., the campus’ Anheuser Busch InBev Pilot Brewery is more than a place to make beer – it’s where confidence is gained and lives are changed. The Bohart Museum of Entomology, founded in 1946, is located on the University of California, Davis campus. The museum is dedicated to teaching, research and service. The collection holdings total more than seven million specimens of terrestrial and fresh water arthropods. The museum is also home of the California Insect Survey, a storehouse of the insect biodiversity of California's deserts, mountains, coast, and the Great Central Valley.
