Stamped concrete is becoming more popular as a decorative building material for its durability, ease of maintenance, and its low cost. Concrete is often more economical than many other building materials.

The first concrete was invented by the Romans and was made of a mix of volcanic ash and lime. This product could cure underwater and was used for retaining walls and docks.

Concrete is a very specific mixture of cement particles, gravel and water. The density must be just right – too thick and the mixture will not cure.

Speed bumps provide many communities with safer roads and fewer accidents. Speed bumps are easy and economical to install, reduce speeding and creating a safer environment for all of the residents, including children and the elderly.

Ever wonder how ready-mix plants churn out concrete in huge amounts? Apparently, they make use of huge silos that contain cement, sand, aggregates and additives. These ingredients are gravity-fed and thoroughly blended together with water in huge preparation bins before being shipped off in transit mixers.

* Removing existing sliding glass doors / windows and installation of new sliding glass doors / windows (carpentry experience a plus)

Our work is primarily on beachside high-rise and mid-rise condominiums so you must be comfortable with heights and the Florida weather conditions!

Poured concrete foundations are the most common type of home foundations. With concrete slab foundations, the structure is formed by pouring a few inches of concrete with thicker edges to provide support.

One of the terms you will hear when ordering and working with concrete is “slump.” This is the consistency of the product when it is being poured in place. There is a range of acceptable tolerances, depending on the application. It is measured in inches, and is identified by the closer inch.

A precast concrete product is a factory-made piece that’s manufactured with concrete and then is later fitted with other pieces to become part of a larger structure. Precast concrete components are prepared, cast, and hardened offsite.

FH&A Construction is a locally owned and operated Coastal Restoration and Window/Sliding Glass Door company. We are looking for skilled individuals with Carpentry Experience that we will train to install Hurricane Impact windows and sliding glass doors on condominiums.

Job duties include, but not limited to:

Removal and installation of fixed and operable windows and sliding glass doors on high-rise to mid-rise beachside condominiums.
Handling high value and high quality products with care.
Use of hammers, power tools, measuring tape, etc.
Carpentry, caulking, weather proofing, glazing.
Swing stage experience a plus.
Frequent walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing.
Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs. and up to 90 lbs. with assistance.

Performing various commercial painting, waterproofing & caulking on mid rise and high rise buildings. 5+ years preferred!
High reach boom lift and swing stage experience a plus.
Ability to operate power washer
Removal and replacement of old caulking materials
Painting using roller and airless spray equipment
Plaster skill for drywall and stucco a plus.
Cleaning tools, equipment, materials and construction work areas.
