On Sunday, Pastor Steve took the congregation through the opening verses of the book of Proverbs to give an overview and demonstrate that rather than just a book of wise sayings and inspirational quotes, Proverbs is an insightful view that points upward towards God and fits in thematically with the rest of the inspired Scripture. How can you navigate life's challenges with Godly insight this week?

On Sunday, Pastor Steve taught from Acts 10 to show us that Easter proclaims the universal love of God, the lordship of Christ, and the transformative power of Jesus through His revelation, recognition, and resurrection. How can you proclaim God's love for you this week, and show that same love towards others?
He has risen indeed! Thank you to everyone who came out to the Easter activities this weekend, and to those who brought flowers for our courtyard cross.
Sunday is coming!
Pick (or pick up) some flowers in preparation for Easter Sunday at Briarlake Church. Let's watch the cross in the courtyard transform in display with the beauty of Christ's resurrection by filling it with live flowers. Bring your flowers on Easter Sunday morning and add them to the cross; feel free to take photos!
Yesterday Pastor Steve took us through Psalm 24 to show us the parallels between the transcendent king, the transformed life, and the triumphal entry, and how Jesus is fulfilling these Old Testament writings. As we prepare for Easter, how can you welcome Jesus into your daily walk this week?
As we get ready to celebrate Easter next week, Briarlake Church will be hosting three events on campus: a Good Friday service for families on Friday, March 29 at 6 PM in the Sanctuary, an Easter Egg Hunt for children from birth to 5th grade on Saturday, March 30 at 10 AM starting in the Gym, and an Easter Worship Service on Sunday, March 31 at 11 AM in the Sanctuary.

Yesterday Pastor Steve preached in Matthew 17 about encountering the divine and unveiling the glory of Jesus during the transfiguration. He taught about the encounter, the affirmation, and the vision given to the disciples by the Divine. How can you proclaim the gospel of Christ to the world and live it out in your life?

Yesterday, Pastor Steve taught from the Gospel of Matthew about how the baptism of Jesus serves as a powerful symbol of our own call to repentance, transformation, and discipleship.
This seemingly simple act of baptism fulfills the prophecy, reveals the Trinity, identifies Jesus with humanity, begins Jesus' public ministry, is a model for Christian baptism, and anticipates the death and resurrection of Jesus.
How can you declare your faith to those around you this week?
Briarlake Church's 55+ Team invites you to the Upper Room tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 PM for a FREE screening of the movie "The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry." Free popcorn, candy, and drinks will also be available. All ages are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Yesterday Pastor Steve taught through an overview of Genesis to show the congregation that through His victory, His blessing, and His kingdom, The Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, is the Greatest Of All Time!
This past Sunday, Pastor Steve taught three main points to the church:
1. The content of the Gospels were not only about Jesus, but His fulfilment of prophecies from the Old Testament Scriptures.
2. The companions of the Gospel to whom Jesus appears to following His death and resurrection.
3. The commission of the Gospel to share the message with the world.
How can you share the Gospel message with someone in your life this week?
On Sunday we talked about giving our testimony and looked at the example Paul gave as he describes his life prior to his encounter, his life-changing encounter, and his new life purpose following his encounter. How can you use Paul's example to share your own testimony with others this week?
