You haven’t been here before; even if you feel like you have. 🌊
Name it.
Drop into the PRESENT.
Take a moment to notice three things around you...
their colors, scents, textures.
Pause on each point for five seconds.
Take them in.
What do you see?
What do you notice has shifted in your body?
🪷
Breathe.
Release it.
Get out of your own way.
Lean into faith and grace.
Fly. 🦋
(📷 myself and friend)
Sit with it.
I know; it feels like a lot.
Breathe in.
Open mouth audible exhale.
Sit with it.
Let it come up.
Feel it.
Hands over heart.
Tap fingers over heart.
Audible exhale (maybe scream).
Sit with it.
Let it ease.
Ride the wave.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Let some light in.
It’s time to change.
Are you open to invite in the possibilities?
There are no right answers.
You aren’t supposed to have one.
Inhale. Exhale.
Sit with it.
And then…
Begin where you are.
Let some light in.
Slivers.
Glimmers.
Heapings.
Can you feel joy when it’s there?
Will you let even the tiniest bit ease into your spirit?
Breathe it in.
Feel that?
Let it move through every cell.
What joy will you find today? Even the smallest light can change everything.
Breathe deeply. Invite it in. Let it transform you.
Often when we experience trauma in childhood we begin to disassociate and disconnect.
The trauma and our survival begin to slow down our other abilities that help us develop and grow as the survivor in us clings to stay alive.
This trauma and disassociation also occurs in teens and adults. It also halts our progression.
As we grow older many peoples trauma forms into addictions but many don’t. What happens to the others?
Often times they are termed “survivors, strong, go getters” but in reality they still live in survival mode. They are always planning on what next... always a plan b, c and more.
In order to break out of the pattern of survival we must have authentic connection.
Honest, pure and vulnerable connection to others, ourselves, our bodies and the earth.!
This rawness is the grounding and safety our brains need in order to begin to move out of survival and into growth.
There are many ways to connect but if you have never done it it can seem always like you are just missing it...
Who relates?
There is no one size fits all when we are looking at trauma. There are many tools and resources it is finding the one/s that allow YOU to feel safe that will be effective.
Learning to even say no to certain things will help you feel more connected to your spirit and body.
Learning to say yes will also.
The path is windy and sometimes dark my friends but you are surely never alone.
Reach out. Breathe. Connect. Meet yourself for the first time 💜
Soften.
Your grip.
Your heart.
Your ego.💜
Loosen the white knuckled grip of who you were.
What you had.
Hold that person in your heart.
Learn from them.
But let go.
It’s time to begin.
Where you are.
With what you have.
Using all the lessons.
To begin we just let go.
Slowly, slowly allowing our grip to ease.
Let’s do it together shall we?🦋🪷
It is all a daily practice: life, openness, vulnerability, love, courage, boundaries, stillness.
Give yourself some grace in the practice of being human.
Faking it until you make it?
Sure, why not.
But let’s be real—what you see isn’t always what’s actually happening. Anyone else with me on this?
Life’s more typically a hot mess, (or maybe that’s just me 🤔)
and we’re all just making it up as we go along. 🙌
So, here’s to embracing the confusion, laughing at our epic fails, and finding some wisdom in this chaos. 🌊
The journey’s way more fun when we admit we’re all just winging it.

It is apparent that massage therapy is a commonly utilized therapeutic modality in the
U.S. While use of complementary or integrative therapies is a significant determinant of massage utilization, it may not be fitting to consider massage therapy itself as an
"alternative" therapy, but rather a widely used and increasingly mainstream therapeutic modality meriting wider integration into the community of healthcare professions.
Pause & check in with your body:
- Feel your feet planted on the ground beneath you.
-Lengthen your inhales and exhales as you breathe.
- Feel your belly rise and fall with each cycle of breath.
- Let your arms and legs be heavy.
-Notice any areas of tension in your physical body.
-Wiggle your fingers and toes.
-Drop your shoulders down and back.
-Soften your tongue.
-Unclench your jaw.
-Soften the space between your eyebrows.
-Inhale
-Exhale
Carry on. 💜🦋🌊
We all feel anger—at others, the world, our bodies, ourselves. You’re not bad for feeling it. You’re human, with a heart and soul. Things happen, feelings happen. Anger is as valid as joy or grief. ❤️
Sometimes anger comes out sideways, directed at others. Sometimes it seeps into our cells and turns into shame. That shame lives in the body, creating a vicious cycle—a shame loop.⭕️
Your feelings need an outlet. Create a space, a sound, a movement. Do a big ole sweep. You’re allowed to feel anger! Stand tall, arms wide, move, breathe, shake, dance, scream. Feel it and let it out.💥
If it’s too much to handle alone, let’s connect. I’m here to help you move through it with grace. Reach out and let’s break the cycle together.💗
All the gratitude for letting me hold the space and walk with my clients on their journey.💜
Perhaps it’s time for you to continue your work and be supported in a new way?
Reach out.
Let’s connect.
What I offer isn’t traditional coaching it’s a practice that is meant to support the past, present and future of your mind, body, soul and spirit. 🪷
Looking forward to meeting you; in person or virtually.
To begin; you must begin. ✨🦋
Navigating the complexities of compassion can be challenging, especially when you’ve been wronged or hurt. I remind my children often: hurt people hurt people and healing people heal people.
Embrace the power of the pause, the stillness. Find the truth in your heart. Stay steady.
Breathe compassion and grace into the tenderness of the human heart.💜
As Eleanor Roosevelt said:
“Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart. To handle yourself, use your head; To handle others, use your heart. Anger is only one letter short of danger. If someone betrays you once, it is his fault; if he betrays you twice, it is your fault. Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people. He who loses money, loses much; He, who loses a friend, loses much more; He, who loses faith, loses all. Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, but beautiful old people are works of art. Learn from the mistakes of others. You can’t live long enough to make them all yourself. Friends, you and me...you brought another friend...and
then there were 3. We started our group, our circle of friends. And like that circle, there is no beginning or end. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is mystery. Today is a gift.”
Your kindness is beautiful. It’s felt; deeply. I feel you.
Think about the kindest thing someone has done for you.
Maybe start again - from that space; in that space.

We are more than the tasks that fill our days and pay our bills.
Who were you?
Who are you?
Who are you becoming?
Always changing, shedding, healing, growing, and transforming into a new version of ourselves.
This Mindful Monday, I would like to honor the incredible life of my grandma, who passed away this weekend at the age of 104.
Her life was a testament to resilience, love, and wisdom.
Reflecting on her journey, I’m reminded of Mary Oliver’s beautiful instructions for living a life:
“Pay attention.
Be astonished.
Tell about it.”
Let’s take a moment today to follow these wise words. Pay attention to the beauty around us, be astonished by the small miracles in our daily lives, and share our stories with others. In doing so, we honor the legacy of those we’ve lost and enrich our own lives.

Somatics is more than a trending buzzword; it’s about truly tuning into the felt sense of our body.
What does it even mean?🤷♀️🦋
Somatics = Felt sense.
Soma = Bodymind, our interconnected body and nervous system.
As a Certified Somatics Practitioner and trauma-informed coach, I see many struggling to connect with their body’s sensations, especially those who’ve experienced trauma or feel numb and dissociated.
With the rise in interest in Embodiment & Somatics, it’s crucial to move beyond the buzz and understand the deep, authentic practice of connecting mind and body. 💙
I invite you to pause, slow the f down, and feel some sense of something in your body. 🌊💙
Feeling it versus thinking it is scary. You don’t need to explore alone.
If you’re ready to dive deeper, I’m here to walk with you. 💙🦋🌊
Self-Havening is a gentle, self-soothing technique that uses touch to reduce stress and promote a sense of calm. It involves stroking and compressing your arms, face, and hands, activating sensory receptors that help the brain shift from a stressed state to a relaxed one.🤗
Self-Havening is a powerful tool for managing stress and emotional distress. By engaging in this practice, you stimulate areas of the brain associated with relaxation and emotional well-being, helping to reduce anxiety, improve mood, and foster a sense of safety and comfort. ❤️
It empowers you to take control of your emotional state, making it an invaluable resource for self-care.🙌
How do you do it?
Touch yourself and feel your hands. Find a pressure that feels soothing.
It might be a light gentle touch or a sting compression.
You can start at your feet or at your face.
Work your way through the whole body reminding yourself that “I am here now.”
Breathe deeply throughout, letting each touch bring you closer to tranquility. Incorporate this practice into your routine for a peaceful and centered start to your week. 🪷💙🌊🦋💜
Today, let’s explore the remarkable connection between softening the tongue, relaxing the pelvic floor, and the positive impact on the nervous system.😛
The Tongue-Pelvic Floor Connection:
The position and tension of your tongue can influence your pelvic floor due to the body’s intricate web of fascial connections and neural pathways.😛
How Softening the Tongue Helps:
1. Nervous System Regulation: Softening the tongue activates the parasympathetic nervous system, the “rest and digest” system. This promotes relaxation throughout the body, including the pelvic floor muscles.
2. Enhanced Breathing: A relaxed tongue allows better airflow and deeper breathing. Deep breathing engages the diaphragm, encouraging the pelvic floor to relax and move naturally.
3. Reduced Overall Tension: Softening the tongue can reduce general muscular tension, creating a relaxation effect that reaches the pelvic floor. This is particularly beneficial during activities that require pelvic floor engagement, such as yoga or Pilates.
The Science behind it:
The vagus nerve connects the brain to the body, including the tongue and pelvic floor. By stimulating the vagus nerve through tongue relaxation and deep breathing, you can promote a state of calm and relaxation, reducing stress and tension in the pelvic floor.
Regular Practice: Incorporate this practice into your daily routine. Whether at work, exercising, or winding down, take moments to soften your tongue and breathe deeply.
Try It:
Take a few minutes now to soften your tongue and take some deep, mindful breaths. Embrace this simple yet powerful practice to enhance your overall well-being.
Happy Wellness Wednesday! 🌼

We all have stories and histories. Mine, like many, is a winding road that has led me to where I am today with Rayalife.
Before I was here, I was there. Did you know that for over a decade I facilitated and trained groups of teens up to corporate teams in experiential education and team building? I flew all over the country and was part of some of the highest quality facilitators in the nation. I was trained in many skills and coaching techniques and was training others as well.
My journey included extensive training in outdoor survival, forest bathing, grounding, and more. What I offer—coaching, nature walks, forest bathing—isn’t something I just decided to do because I like the outdoors. I’m trained in these practices and honor my teachers and mentors every day.
So, why don’t I do this more often? Well, I had kids. Both with health conditions, and I chose to be home instead of traveling. It’s still a part of my heart, and as my teens continue to become more independent, keep your eyes out for where you might find my offerings and amazing collaborations to come!
Stay tuned, and join me on this beautiful journey with Rayalife.

Recently, I lost a dear friend unexpectedly. Their light was dazzling, illuminating every space with their energy and joy. ✨✨🦄
Their sudden departure has made me reflect profoundly on what it means to truly embrace the essence of life.
🦋💙 She lived heart wide open.
The story of her life, her essence and lesson isn’t about her passing it is about embodying living.🪷
Today for and everyday let’s commit and connect more deeply with ourselves and the present moment. Let’s open our hearts 💕
Here is a simple yet powerful somatic movement practice we can all try. 💜
✨Stand with your feet wider than hip-width apart, turning your toes out slightly. Ground yourself firmly on the earth. Imagine your feet rooted into the earth. 🌍
✨Bend Your Knees: Lower into a squat, ensuring your knees are aligned with your toes. Find a comfortable depth where you feel strong and stable. 🌳
✨Inhale deeply as you lift your arms to shoulder height, bending your elbows so your hands point towards the sky, forming a 90-degree angle. 🙌
✨Hold this position, taking deep, steady breaths. Feel the power and openness in your body. Embrace the strength within you.🪷
✨As you hold the pose, think of one thing you are grateful for in this moment. Let this feeling of gratitude fill your heart and body.❤️
✨Slowly straighten your legs and lower your arms, coming back to a standing position. Stand still for a moment, feeling the energy flow through your body.🌳
✨Take a few moments today to practice this heart-opening stretch. It can help you feel more connected, centered, and alive, embodying the vibrant spirit that my friend so beautifully lived.🦄🦋
This is an invitation to join me in the practice of living each day with deep presence and intention✨🦋❤️🩹💜💕🪷🦄

Breathe. Connect. Transform.
No matter who we are we all have a story. Our minds, bodies and spirit carry each story and hold them close. Some of these stories propel us forward while others create what we call shadows in our lives.
These shadows manifest as depression, health concerns, fear, anxiety and so on.
It is at the very top of my list to educate and hold space for people to recognize their innate ability to heal. I believe in the tremendous power of the human body. When we are able to take a step back and give ourselves permission to slow down we can listen with more intention to our physical, mental and emotional bodies, very profound things can happen. Sometimes we need some direction but it is ultimately up to us.
rayalife was founded to create a unique and personalized connection for you to find your own way through.
I offer holistic coaching through a unique combination of dialoguing, breathwork, movement and bodywork to facilitate meaningful change. For those seeking a stronger connection to their inner light.
I’ll help guide my clients beyond their vulnerablilies to become their best selves.
