Starting this rainy Monday out strong with homemade sourdough, backyard chicken fried egg topp with broccoli micro greens and .

The prettiest surprise grew in the area where we discard the harvested tray soil. We use organic small seeded black oil sunflower seeds, so that in turn produces teeny little sunflowers. ❤️

My favorite farm stand LarryVille Gardens LLC is going to have the best Field to Fork dinner in August! All of their own produce grown right at the farm, an amazing chef collaboration, and more local ingredients from Artisans in the area wrapped up into a five course meal. So much yum (and fun)!

Farm Update! Thursday was restock day at all of our fabulous retail locations! LarryVille Gardens LLC Health Hut in Mukwonago AND NOW at the Brookfield location as well! Friends on the Square also has 6 more crunchy mixes available! If you were hesitant or have been curious on what microgreens are all about, now is the time to try them! You won't be disappointed. We've noticed a significant increase in energy levels ever since making them a regular part of our daily diet! They're high in vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants and are just an all around super food.

Friends on the Square in Elkhorn is now offering our Sunny Mix and Crunchy mix each week in a limited supply. I could look at Red Amaranth all day!! Fun fact it's filled with protein! Will it make an appearance in one of our mixes in the future?! Time will tell. GrowMicro Go Micro.

Same plant, just a couple days older. Growth is amazing! Literally and figuratively.

Name that plant! This one will flower if I let it grow long enough and the flower will then be edible as well! Both the leaves and petals are packed with nutrition, containing high levels of vitamin C. It has the ability to improve the immune system, tackling sore throats, coughs, and colds, as well as bacterial and fungal infections. It also contains trace minerals and contains bio active compounds to help with the overall absorption of nutrients.....and it's beautiful!

Saturday is tray washing and sanitizing day. Though it's not my favorite part of the process, it's one that I take super seriously to keep pathogens out of the grow cycle. Each tray gets sprayed with a diluted organic apple cider vinegar mixture, scrubbed and rinsed under hot water, and then sprayed with a 3% food grade (very important) hydrogen peroxide mixture and then air dries. 🤙🤙

I swear there's a protein source somewhere in that sandwich but the greens are the showstopper here. Microgreens from yours truly and the largest fresh spring kale from just outside Burlington. Don't be scared to drive up the long drive, I promise it's worth it! 🌱

Microgreens are packed with nutrients.

While their nutrient contents vary slightly, most varieties tend to be rich in potassium, iron, zinc, magnesium and copper.

Microgreens are also a great source of beneficial plant compounds like antioxidants.

What’s more, their nutrient content is concentrated, which means that they often contain higher vitamin, mineral and antioxidant levels than the same quantity of mature greens.

In fact, research comparing microgreens to more mature greens reports that nutrient levels in microgreens can be up to nine times higher than those found in mature greens.
