More canvassing today! Do you want to knock some doors?
Volunteer here: https://ohiodeladems.org/volunteer/
Delaware Co Democrats are busy at events this weekend all over the area once again! From speaking at events, talking to voters at the Dem Wagon, to recognizing the importance of public education and teachers…Dems are active and energized!
Come to the Dem Wagon today in Powell!
Ohioans deserve a White House that fights for working families.
Governor Tim Walz has done exactly that by raising wages, cutting taxes for Minnesota’s middle class, codifying reproductive rights, and so much more.
He’s a welcome addition to the ballot in Ohio and a stark contrast to JD Vance, who’s spent his 18 months in the Senate fighting to gain political power for himself while leaving his constituents behind.
The DelCo Dems were busy in Powell over the weekend canvassing for all of our Democratic candidates! We will be in Orange township this Sunday…be sure to add your name to the event!

Did you know? Delaware County needs at minimum 125 Democratic poll workers for each and every election! That is a lot of helping hands to help ensure we have fair elections. When we don't have enough poll workers that may mean sites have more of another party instead of an equal amount. If you sign up as a poll worker you play an important and much-needed part in ensuring every election is fair. For more information please reach out or visit https://vote.delawarecountyohio.gov/get-involved/ for more information!
Did you know you can already request your absentee ballot for this year's November 5th election?
Any registered Ohio voter can request a mail-in ballot.
Fill out an application and send it to your county BOE (Board of Elections).
Then, your BOE will send you the ballot once early voting begins.
It's as easy and secure as that!
Students heading to college (and their parents), what's the plan for voting?!?!
It's never too early to have a plan!

Stop what you're doing right now and check your ID!
Will it expire by November 5, 2024? If so, make sure you have a plan on how you will vote in the upcoming election!
You have 2 options:
1. Renew your ID so that you have an unexpired ID by the time you vote in person. Make sure you plan ahead. If you need help with your voter ID, contact VoteRiders.
2. Vote by mail using the last 4 digits of your SSN. You can request your absentee ballot now so that your BOE (Board of Elections) can send your ballot when early voting begins: https://www.ohiosos.gov/elections/voters/absentee-ballot/
You can locate your county BOE here: https://www.ohiosos.gov/elections/elections-officials/county-boards-of-elections-directory/

As we head into an unprecedented election season, our admins wanted to remind all folks of the Meta Community Standards that all FB pages must adhere to. Should your comment be deemed to conflict with the below Facebook standards, it will be deleted and your account will be blocked from commenting again.
We are all volunteers who manage this page. Please be cognizant of that and be respectful to all.
1- Our commitment to voice
The goal of our Community Standards is to create a place for expression and give people a voice. Meta wants people to be able to talk openly about the issues that matter to them, whether through written comments, photos, music, or other artistic mediums, even if some may disagree or find them objectionable. In some cases, we allow content—which would otherwise go against our standards—if it’s newsworthy and in the public interest. We do this only after weighing the public interest value against the risk of harm, and we look to international human rights standards to make these judgments. In other cases, we may remove content that uses ambiguous or implicit language when additional context allows us to reasonably understand that the content goes against our standards.
Our commitment to expression is paramount, but we recognize the internet creates new and increased opportunities for abuse. For these reasons, when we limit expression, we do it in service of one or more of the following values:
2- AUTHENTICITY
We want to make sure the content people see on Facebook is authentic. We believe that authenticity creates a better environment for sharing, and that’s why we don’t want people using Facebook to misrepresent who they are or what they’re doing.
3- SAFETY
We’re committed to making Facebook a safe place. We remove content that could contribute to a risk of harm to the physical security of persons. Content that threatens people has the potential to intimidate, exclude or silence others and isn’t allowed on Facebook.
4- PRIVACY
We’re committed to protecting personal privacy and information. Privacy gives people the freedom to be themselves, choose how and when to share on Facebook and connect more easily.
5- DIGNITY
We believe that all people are equal in dignity and rights. We expect that people will respect the dignity of others and not harass or degrade others.
