Tie Dye by Dave

Here’s the other shirt I did yesterday. It’s a 2XL Gildan brand shirt.

Before and After, Front and Back. I think it turned out awesome! If it was my size I’d wear it. It’s an XL. You know someone who wants this! Hit me up quick before it’s gone.

Kind of a orange and blue design. We’ll find out tomorrow if it looks cool or not. It’s a 2XL Gildan.

I picked this up at a thrift store. Let’s see what I can do with it.

I’m going to knock out a couple shirts today. It’s kind of rainy and blah outside today. Here’s my odd playlist for today!

Here’s my latest. Oh dear, my hair is a mess!

This one is sitting out in the garage warming up. I’m going to let it sit out there in the heat for a while to give the dye a chance to really set in. I’ll probably wash it out tonight. It’s another try at using xanthan gum to make the dye real thick.

I think I’ll save this one for myself. But if you would like one similar to this just let me know. It will take longer than usual because the people I order from seem to take a while to

Just a reminder, if you like something you see, I can try to recreate it in a size just for you. If it's labeled as an "ice dye" those are pretty much unique and totally unpredictable. But if you see a pattern like this and like it, you can even change the colors, just let me know!

Another different technique I’m trying out. And I have a rustic loaf of bread cooking in the oven. House smells great!

Medium Gildan

After I folded up this shirt I applied black liquid dye to the “back”, took it outside and applied powder dye to the “front” and then soda ash and ice. I’ll probably top off the ice in a couple hours and then leave it overnight. It’s been hot and rainy all day so I don’t know how long before the dye will set. Crazy weather!

3XL Hanes Not too bad huh?

Another ice dye experiment. This is yellow, orange, and brown. If it all goes well it should have diagonal lines with… ah who knows. Let’s just see what turns out tomorrow night.

This one is a 3XL Fruit of the Loom.

I figured I’d give ice dye a try. I tied the shirt up in a spiral, covered it with powdered dye, then soda ash, then ice, then more soda ash. Now it’s just sitting in the back yard waiting for me to get home tomorrow night. See ya’s then!

3rd one of the night is done. The bottom shirt in this pic was the last of the night. If it turns out cool I’ll be in trouble because I don’t recall how I folded it! haha Nah, I think I remember. It’s a 4XL Gildan.

Will this end up resembling a peacock feather? People already do a “peacock spiral” but I’m trying something different. Will it go in the FOR SALE pile or in the SCRAP pile? Get your votes in now! haha

Whether or not you drink that seltzer stuff, I think this is gonna be a cool looking shirt. I think it’s a 2XL. I’ll let y’all know tomorrow when I wash it out.

Okay, USPS tracking says the new owner of this shirt got it Thursday, so I’m not ruining the surprise. Here’s how this one turned out. Personally I think it turned out 100 times better than the one I did for myself. What do you think?
