Guerilla Chief
If you want the tribe, you’ll need the Chief!
Hey team! So I have been hard at work looking for the right supplier relationship for the first run of hats.
I expect we will get burned on the first couple of attempts to secure a quality product! That said, if something better happens, that's great. But of course, of my first order produces an inferior product, I'll have to try again. And that's why I think this approach is best, a group of helpful beta testers who are a bit more understanding of the initial challenges of starting a business.
So, I likely WON'T be taking pre-orders because whenever you take $ from a customer, regardless of the preexisting relationship, it sets an expectation.
The minimal order quantity is likely 100 units. Worst case, the construction won't be up to par in the first go, and I'll end up with 100 "gym" hats, which should last the rest of my lifetime!
So I appreciate everyone's patience in general and the goal is to flush out the right supplier, because margins are certainly a "thing," in terms of scalability via referral incentives, etc.
My goal is to find a manufacturer who can reproduce the "Richardson 355" (new product for 2023) as shown in the photo. This style of hat seems to be quite popular in the US ad many other small business owners I have spoken with, say "Richardson" their top seller.
The first go will likely be a single neutral color. I'm thinking black would be smart?
So the hunt continues! In the meantime, I think we have enough data for a great initial design and I sincerely appreciate all of the feedback along the way.
I have several conversations going with various manufacturers, abut I'm absolutely open to any suggestions!
Facial expressions are powerful. A smile is the first sign of "friendly."
So be friendly, because people work with people they like. The goal is less friction so, start with a smile! :)
The results of recent instagram poll.
1) Dark foliage background (original) 23 VOTES
2) No foliage (original) 30 VOTES
3) Light foliage 36 VOTES
4) Flower/palm pattern - 32 VOTES
When you care enough to remember a name, it's the first step to getting someone "tuned in" to the conversation. Use it and never forget! A simple, yet powerful tool for building rapport.
All the design help is much appreciated!!!

Hey Chiefs,
Here are the results of the last poll! And due to a recommendation from (can't tag for some reason), I adjusted the color of the foliage and produced another option, but did not increase image size. Wondering if this changes the dynamic? Please comment with your favorite (and any needed glaring changes that you see!)
I labeled these as 1a, 1b, 1c.
I am very cognizant of your time and attention spans and very much appreciate the help!!
G-Chief with foliage 18 votes
G-Chief without foliage 12 votes
G-Chief with foliage/flowers 2 votes
Step one to accomplishing any relationship goal is building rapport. People cooperate with people they trust and trust cannot exist without rapport. 🤝
Building rapport starts with genuine interest: listen more than you speak and tune in to potential needs.
So with a one on one conversation, a great rule of thumb is to speak less than half the time. Your goal is to get the other person talking. Start by listening more than you speak!

Hey Chiefs!
Trying to finalize this logo concept for G-Chief.
With or without jungle pattern in the background? And what about option 3?
Comment 1, 2, or 3, for the best one! Cheers and thanks for the support!
Hey boys and girls, these aren't final designs by any means, but in an effort to progress the patterns overall, I came up with an easy way for you guys to help with suggestions.
I have a new concept for the under-bill area. Instead of a circular patch, why not a rotating G-Chief figurine patch that changes periodically or depending on the line.
You'll see a photo option labeled "1" for the GC round patch and and "2," for the G-Chief figurine patch and all you have to do from there is, match your favorite patterns to the front panel options (A-F).
If possible, rank your TOP 3! I sincerely appreciate it!
For example, 1 A would = GC round patch underbill + black with classic gorilla patch.
Thank you!
5 Panel Flat Snapback
Currently narrowing down logo combinations, so feel free to rate the best colors/variations of any image.
If you love an image, comment “5.”
If you hate it, leave a “1.”
This method is probably ok for now, as I work towards final designs and an initial order.
Also, feel free to comment below the image if you see color combinations you would like to see rearranged or combined!
These designs include custom molded patches, and patterns integrated into the hat design. I am the designer and own the rights to the designs. This is also why none of the images are perfect yet 🙂
Thank you for your input!
A little about the hats

If you can’t build trust with the Chief, you’ll lose the tribe.
You may be wondering, who or what is the Guerilla Chief? In Army Special Forces, all candidates must learn the importance of building rapport with the Guerilla Chief, or “G-Chief” for short. In fact, it’s the most integral component to earning the Green Beret.
Green Berets work “with,” not against and without the tribe, the mission is sure to fail.
The Guerilla Chief brand pays homage to the idea that the relationships we build make or break us, and that the way we treat one another is everything.
We are all Chiefs in a tribe in one way or another. Yet in life, there will always be Chiefs to win over. When you dawn G-Chief gear it’s a reminder to be be good to one another, to never burn a bridge, and that relationships make or break everything! 🦍🇺🇸
Hello everyone and welcome to the G-Chief tribe! Thank you sincerely for checking out my brand. 🙏
My entire life, I’ve had an itch to make something fun and sell it to happy customers. I suppose more than anything, it’s a form of expression and it’s fun to think of people wearing a brand I created.
There is of course, a deep story to the lineage of the title “guerilla chief,” but we will save that for another day.
There are a lot of things I’d like to produce, but I figured a good place to start would be hats, since I more or less wear them every day. 😆
In an effort to protect myself, I’m not fully public with the page yet and if you are here, it’s invite only for now. If you’re reading this, it’s because the last thing I want to do is build a brand no one likes! So, your advice is key to helping me avoid mistakes.
I’ll come up with a few different ideas for how to display things logically but if at any time content on this page becomes annoying, feel absolutely no pressure at all to stick around!
I am eternally grateful the interest, but input is by no means an expectation!
Otherwise, feel free to just leave a comment for now. It would even be super helpful if you comment “1-5” (5 being best) beneath any images that jump out as especially cool!
Cheers
