Last year, .cb posted these BTS photos from our shoot for Volume 11 💜 While I can’t share out sneak peeks from this year’s issue quite yet, I thought that sharing this post might offer a little hint on what you can expect in the very near future. 😉

Passion projects like these are enjoyable to participate in, while also being ways to keep my skills sharp. You’ll notice that these photos are different from what I usually post on my feed. They’re more deeply emotional, more nostalgic, and more personal than the photos I focus on in my daily life. We’re intentionally using new and different skills so that we’re ready whenever a similar project comes our way!

Lots of beach day vibes with to celebrate the unofficial start of Summer! 🌸 Happy May Day!!

DID YOU KNOW 🍸 Food stylists will often spritz the outside of a beverage with a teeny-tiny glycerin spritzer to make the drink look extra cold for photos. This both makes the beverage look perfectly chilled and also means that we don’t need to rush the shot to make it happen before the ice melts. One of the many tricks up their sleeves that helps to make the magic happen. 🪄

REAL TALK 🍳 How good does this look right now? I mean… just… come on… this is SWOON-WORTHY QUALITY CONTENT. 🤤

The entire team at this shoot with and was absolutely FANTASTIC. 🌟 This is the second shoot I’ve done at Monarch in Blackhawk and both have been fun, lively, colorful, and simply a joy. I already can’t wait to get back out there!

Photography for editorial projects is always a little extra special. Working alongside writers and editors to determine how much space they need for their written content, making their vision come to life while matching their overarching brand story, and designing all the photos to seamlessly link together to tell one, cohesive story - it takes talent, experience, and a solid dose of teamwork to make the magic happen!
