At this upcoming summit, we are hoping to create cross sectional collaborative spaces that will focus on the intersectionality of the issues the previous summits have identified with the associated policy goals of each at the local, county, and state level. Inspired by the success of the Oakland County summits, the Macomb County Collaborative is seeking to replicate the success across county lines by beginning to build greater progressive power in Macomb County. The Collaborative's first steps towards this purpose is to hold a progressive meet and greet for those doing work already inside Macomb in the progressive space as well as to introduce those inside Macomb County to organizations and activists who can help them become more involved in advancing progressive priorities inside Macomb County.
Consequently, the Macomb Organizing Collaborative wanted to pass the invitation along to those who have attended the Oakland Summits to attend our upcoming Moving Macomb Forward: A Power Building Meet and Greet on November 18th from 9am to 12pm at the John Lewis Center at Macomb Community College's South Campus (Located at 14500 12 Mile Road Warren MI).
