Hey IG, with all the new followers and positive messages, I thought it would be a good time to reintroduce myself. My name is Cory, I’m the owner/operator of Ramped. I’m the guy responding to your messages and emails. But I also have a few other responsibilities at this company including consulting, designing, estimates, equipment maintenance, book keeping, Handling materials, Carpentry , Welding, Fabrication, Painting, Concrete, landscaping, demolition, cleaning, planning and of course social media. I know it may seem at times that this is something bigger but It’s always been just me over here. That said, I apologize for any lack of communication or delay in response. I appreciate all of you that have been following along the past 10 years. THANK YOU!

A roof top patio space for the wonderful team at .co ❗️| Thankfully the weather cooled off for us during construction of this one! Can’t wait to see it all furnished and lit up at night with bistro lights, which is what the corner post will be used for. .wilfred.cline
GANG GANG | Can’t wait to get the next big one going!
More photos from the remodel at | We only took photos of the changes to this pyramid feature as it was hard to capture our other work to the ramp. Which included general TLC, painting, shortening the box jump by 2’ and adding the black trim detail around the edges/toes to give it an overall refreshed look. and I have been full throttle for 20 days on this project, got to ride it for 5 min before packing up in the dark and heading out to the next one. THANK YOU FOR THE CONTINUED SUPPORT ❗️|

How many details can we fit in a 70’ wide QP? 😂 did a beautiful job on the and added a nice little touch with the elusive “hipcano”. The channel gap detail was a lot more work than expected, from start to finish. I’ll post how I laminated plywood for the framing in the story. Scroll for more photos! ▶️🤘 |

In love with how the stair section at came out. Loaded with details, quite literally with 2500lbs of steel and surfacing will explain the 12” OC LVL framing, and well I just prefer to use lvls for my stringers now for a number of reasons that I won’t get into. I designed the open steel tubing hubbas to help the area not feel so closed off. But in doing so, introduced the need to finish the side of the stairs, I’ve always wanted to do this look on a stair set and this was a perfect opportunity. With steel prices through the roof the original 4x8 tubing ordered for the hubbas was over $10k alone so we just welded two 4x4’s together instead. Can’t wait to see how crispy fisheye clips look on this beauty 😍. More posts this week! Happy weekend 🤘🍕 |
Some photos of our recent build in Burton, MI! Happy we could help make this world class facility for the local scene, entire design/build done in house and completed in just six weeks, start to finish. Thanks to the crew and myself | Follow for information on opening dates etc. | I’ll be posting more photos in the weeks to come. Thanks for the continued support 🤘|
We’ve been framing some cool shapes the past couple of weeks on a new local 11,000SF project in Flint, MI! is prepped and ready for next week, follow our story for BTS the next week or so. Can’t wait to see the details come together on this big one to end the year 🤘 | So happy to be pouring soul into something for the Michigan skate and bmx scene to enjoy ❤️ |

Benches for that we’ve been working on the past week. 4x4 steel bases with levitating red cedar tops. What started out as a seemingly small project, ended up being pretty involved. From Design, excavation, footings, concrete, milling the cedar, steel fabrication, painting, finishing, install and now this social media post, all done in house. Couldn’t be happier with the turn out😍 sorry for the dark photos, had to put in the weekend after hours to finish them up. You’ll just have to check em out in person! Go grab a coffee and some cookies, Right off Woodward in Ferndale.
450SF of Tile. Made from what would have been scrap Just needed 6000 Hardie screws 😂. For the critics, that’s the reason for random screw holes peppered throughout. I only produce these from scrap pieces at the end of jobs or used sheets and hang on to them for these kind of opportunities. I never cut them from new/full sheets. !
Another detailed project in the books with the crew. Everything done in house from Design, material management, framing, finish work, steel fabrication and painting. Underneath, will be used as the new shop space, above, a viewing platform and stage for future shows. It’s been such a pleasure doing finish work for these guys, never limiting the artistic details. Very hyped on how the tile floor turned out, great way to put less desirable drop pieces to use. At 450SF, it was a back breaking past few days 😩 but totally worth it in the end. On the next one! Thanks for the support and love on IG ❤️

Being caught up in the grind, I forget to take in these moments. #2017
A staircase and some structural work I was asked to come frame for a crew at a commercial site. They will continue walls with metal framing and drywall. This is some pretty heavy work to do solo and I’m honestly pretty proud to get it done in just one day by myself, although I’d be more proud to see a young helper progressing with me…No prints, no engineer, just built correctly because that’s the way it should be done. Don’t be a lazy hack, build America better.
Fun lil blend from earlier in the year.
Saved the best feature for last, I’ll start by saying, what made this build different is it’s a private facility for the short term use of Pros. Therefore, we could build features that we could never set up in a facility for public use. It allows a lot of freedom in design, long term, progressing the industry.
That said, there is an existing 12’x16’ ledge, the owner didn’t want removed. (if you zoom in, you’ll see it.) Embracing this existing structure, BK drew a flat bar capping the full perimeter and the movable taco/“Kentucky kickers” using bourbon barrels.
From there, we were able to create a hip in the park by adding the wedge to one side. Originally, the rail was going to 12” tall the full perimeter, from the top of concrete ledge. Leaving the cross bars at 12”, I bumped the hip side rail up to 16” and the opposite rail, over the gap, to 20”. This created two different height flat bars, seeing there’s an approach from both ways, there is no need for mirror features. With the lower cross rails, it makes hop over grinds much more comfortable. Instead of running cross rails the full length, I left 4” of clearance for tires on both sides. This allows you to crook or over grind straight through if you don’t want to hop over.
Both of the kickers and the Taco are edged in steel, movable and won’t slide/tip, this was easily made possible by filling the barrels with concrete. FYI to any visitors that can’t move the taco easily, and I deadlifted it upright after the concrete cured, so no excuses haha. We didn’t frame in the pit to add some fear factor and so the taco can be moved side to side. Being able to slide the taco side to side opens so many possibilities.
My own last minute change was to open up 4’ to create 12’ Evel Knievel gap to down rails, both ways. Both rails have a 4” clearance on the opposing side for tire clearance to grind from out of the taco as well. This being a park to film video parts, I wanted one of the permanent features to be something gnarly.
This was a ton of fun and a lot of work. Again Thanks for trusting us |
Shots of some movable features at The Distillery with some context.
The stack ledge is a replica from the Bakery with a twist, this design allowed the end to have a 4x4 pole jam with some simple engineering.
The A frame is similar to the one in Source plaza, it can be separated or moved as one piece, this model is just a tad bigger.
BK wanted a movable pole jam and I came up with this little bike rack/Source logo design.
The imitation cellar door is completely edged in steel and can be flipped up to create a steeper door.
The access hop, bump to bar, whatever you personally want to call it, is pretty self explanatory.
The kickers and taco with the barrels are also movable, but we’ll get to that in another post.
Following up Saturdays post, where debuted The Distillery, I mentioned giving insight on the features. I’ll start with the main stair/down rail section. The 9 stair rail and wall/rail were a must have in design, after realizing there was plenty of space to go wider with the stage, I knew we needed to make a stair set for a kinker. I’ve always wanted to make one in a park and spent a lot of time in the shop to make it absolutely perfect, the options are limitless on this thing. Playing with matching run/rise on the stairs, I liked the esthetics of the big 3 block mixed in, this also provided a comfortable spot for stair tricks. The movable wedge fits the rise of all three sets or can be set aside. After building a little wall rail at Lines skatepark recently, I noticed that exposed plates have potential to get in the way of pegs. Therefore we spent the extra time to hole saw and bolt into the wall studs, doing it this way also allows the wall rail to be removed and reinstalled easily, if wanted. The last detail to point out and one that I’m particularly geeked on, is utilizing the old sprinkler valve as a structural component. After laying out plates for the wall, we realized layout was breaking directly with this old valve. Instead of making the wall longer and burying it, we embraced it. 4” Sch40 pipe telescoped perfectly into the old line for me to fabricate from! Thanks for reading, I’ll post more soon! 🤟
Proud to show off the most recent project, new private US plaza, “THE DISTILLERY”.
Designed in partnership with bringing back movable features from his Chicago park, the bakery, while mixing in a new Kentucky bourbon vibe. The park will host Pro teams from all over to film parts, stay tuned to for more on that soon! I’ll also be posting more back stories on features in the park this week as well. Thanks to the crew for all of the hard work the past month And of course, the biggest thanks to everyone at for trusting us with this project and always creating cool things for the BMX community. |
