When I get in front of a camera I get insecure, I forget all my plans, and it’s challenging for me to do a good job, haha. Compare that to Raven Norris (.norris) ♥️ Who, when in front of a camera, projects confidence, intelligence and Strength! That’s what’s up!
These photographs are Kodak medium format film photographs, featuring clothing by Tsuki () and HERESY ().

To get to the top of this you have to spend one night in a tent out there. That’s the only part I’m not really looking forward to. Other than that, should be sweet!

Some of my best graphite drawings were made during my time at one of the Columbia University’s GSAPP programs (). The archi-professors there would give us increasingly sophisticated and creative design prompts and increasingly challenging and complicated design constraints to see how we would respond and react. Believe it or not, this sculpture, and resulting, hand-drawn, measured, to scale, drawings were the birthchild of a bunch of extremely triangular and rigid diagrams based off of the photography I took of the rigid, sometimes-triangular architecture of New York City. I was surprised when I was able to find such a curved and dynamic object from such a rigid, controlled process. It was an amazing educational and useful experience, haha.

Goethe was talking about plants and flowers when he wrote that, and I think it’s an amazing thought, and a useful approach 🌱🙂

The founding principle in photography is the collection of light data, so when photographing Tony Don’t’s dimly-lit, art-collection room, I had to expose the film for some time. For the first photo in this series, I think I went with around 8 seconds.
Tony Don’t is currently submitting his artworks to the Smithsonian Institution of Art in Washington D.C., to the Museum of American Art History. Tony, also known as John Anthony Knowles, has his artwork in the homes of many influential people, as well as the homes of countless strangers he has felt compelled to give his artwork to.
More than just an Artist, while held in the Criminal Justice System, Tony became educated in the Law and used his Wit to help other inmates to Freedom. All the good that Tony has done in his life, he dedicates to the Love of his life, his wife Robin.
Zachariah Hagy and I had the opportunity to visit with him a few weeks ago and we are looking forward to meeting up with him again soon!

This is an unedited, raw, film scan of Kodak Portra professional film, and I feel like it really demonstrates how awesome film can be. I know I was excited when I opened up the folder of scans sent to me from Chicago’s Pro Film Lab in Chicago, IL. They were super amazing to work with.
Finally, and obviously not least, let’s all take a moment of silence to recognize the power that is Whitney Masters. Haha, she is amazingly talented. Top notch talented.

I recent met Ezekiel Chapman in a beautiful little part of Michigan, Plymouth, MI. Just wow! What a creative, and excellent-energy person 🙂
We walked around outside, by some trees, and parks and sports fields, and little buildings that housed coffee shops and municipal buildings. It was a really great time. Ezekiel and I have decided to work together on a project, which we both will be very happy to share 😇🤘🏼All we know right now is that we want to shoot at the Eightfold Collective’s infinity studio space, the best, most caring studio within a hundred miles of Detroit, MI, as far as I know.
We are looking for talent! If any models in the Detroit, South-East Michigan area are interested in being the subject of the photography!
The project focuses on portrait photography, other-worldly props, excellent lighting, etc.
