Petunia City Wooden Spoons
Petunia City Wooden Spoons provides high quality handmade wooden utensils
Petunia City Wooden Spoons made the front page of the July 15th Dixon Telegraph eNewspaper!
Yesterday, I had the chance to visit a friend’s blacksmith and metal working shop. Matt showed me some basic blacksmithing skills at his forge and I made two s hooks. He also helped me get a good start on a garden hand shovel made from a railroad spike. I will be going back at some point to finish up the garden shovel. It is always fun to learn new skills and check out different shops.
The show yesterday cleared out my inventory. I only have 23 pieces left. I started the show with about 65 pieces. That means I will need to carve more over the next 2 months for the Grand Detour Arts Festival on September 8th. So look forward to a bunch of new pieces and as always they will all be unique since I do not use patterns to make my spoons and utensils.
