Thank you so much to Discount Salvage in Temple for placing the bin in the store. They sell every one of the items that we need. It's an awesome store located in Temple, and so much fun to shop in because they have really, really good merchandise at amazing prices. So head on out, get some stuff for you and drop a few things in the bin to help your neighbors!

I want to put in a plug for Tithe.ly. If you have a church or a ministry, this is a really awesome platform. Being new, we are starting with the free platform, but there are some great features you can pay for as well, such as a custom built app. The free service allows us to keep track of donations, accept credit card contributions and many other things. The thing that I am most impressed with is the level of service that they have shown. There were a couple of times that I had to contact support, and they are super fast at getting back to us, and extremely professional. I would definitely recommend them. When a community comes together, a lot can be accomplished!

This economy is affecting so many families. It is affecting our food bank in ways that it has never been affected and we have been open since 1994.

We need all the help we can get. If you work at a place that would be willing to let you host a drive or you go to a church that is willing to host a drive or you have a large group of people that you know would be willing to help out…Drives make a huge difference.

I have learned through the years that if you stick to one or two items, it makes it easier for people to know what to get and are willing to do so

Also, if we get a lot of one item, it can stay a shelf item for a lot longer
IDEAS:
🔴 macaroni and cheese/Ramen noodle drive
🔴 peanut butter and jelly
🔴 canned chicken or tuna
🔴 a toiletry drive do feminine products or toothbrush/toothpaste and soap
You never know how many people are willing to help until you ask.

We are here to receive donations Mondays 830 to 12, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 8 AM to 130.

When we visited this wonderful grandmother and her grandchildren, their furniture consisted of a couple camp chairs and an air mattress. Now, their home is completely furnished with beds dressers, couches--and grandma's ever present smile.

The bags help our clients so much, this week we had a client who came by and said they did not need food they just needed a bag. Why? They had access to food but no resources to buy the basic supplies these bags provide.
