Today was the big day to drop off all the donations. Our original plans were changed due to the locations no longer accepting donations. So we researched all week multiple places to go.
Our goal was to get it in the hands of those who needed it. We found a place in Black Mountain doing a fall fest for kids and free food.
Before we could even start unloading the people were asking if we had heaters and propane. It was very overwhelming and chaotic. The helpers were great friendly and kind just trying to do the right thing for the community. We helped organize and sort all of our items with theirs.
The pictures show the number of items and clothing and people that just kept coming. At least 5 other truck loads came while we were there. It wasn't quite what we expected but all items will go to good use for those that need them. I added some fall mountain pictures too. Videos are in comments.
We saw lots of evidence still remainimg from the flood waters and closed businesses as well as lots of downed trees but we're not deep enough to see worst areas.
Thank you again to everyone who made this possible as we made a difference in many peoples lives today.

We are officially on our way to North Carolina. We want to thank everyone who has been part of this process and it has been a process. More to come tomorrow when we reach our destination. We are going halfway tonight.

We are loaded up front to back. Was close but it's all in this 22ft trailer. Oh and the bed of the truck is full too.

Last items purchased for the trip.

Huge shout out to Bruce at West York Lowes. He was such a great help getting these items and helping us out. Heaters, propane bottles, sprayers for mold remover jugs and a grill.
A wonderful lady at the register even paid for a heater for is to take on her behalf.
Also made a trip to Sierra for hats, gloves for women, men, and kids. Two grills and kids toys.

Thanks to BND Treasures in Wellsville. We got a great load of socks, pet toys, coloring books, work gloves and odds and ends at a great discount they are offering for anyone getting items for donations. They even donated 3 boxes of hand sanitizer for us.

Last race day at Lincoln Speedway for 2024. We will have merchandise in Tshirt alley at marked down prices. $5 shirts from 2023 too!!
If anyone has donations this week, monetary can be dropped at the Tshirt stand. We will post where items can be brought when we get there

2nd shopping trip to the Warehouse at Newberrytown Markets!

Successful first shopping trip! 5 carts and a flat bed cart! We had plans to go to other stores but this filled the truck bed and the inside.

Wow!! We knew the racing community would support this drive and they sure did. Look at these pictures to see the amount of boxes we filled. We unloaded everything in our garage and combined it with some items that were already dropped off at the house.

Not only did we collect a TON of items, we collected a lot of monetary donations. Between the pits and grandstands we collected $1951. In addition we had individual donations at the track for $1000, $500, $200, $200 and many for $100. The raffle on the tail tanks raised $375. All in last night we collected $4226! But wait there's more. We have had fans from all over sending donations electronically and in person to us totaling $1540. That means we have A LOT of shopping to do and thinking how we can best spend this to help those victims of Hurricane Helene. We can't thank everyone enough, this was much more than we expected.

Trucks will be located at each general admission gate for heavy items and early drop offs.

In the pits we will have a drop off point near the shed with a white Dodge pick up truck.

Tomorrow is the day we will be collecting donations at Lincoln Speedway for the hurricane victims.

Heavier items can be dropped off at the general admission gates and prior to gates opening.

For race teams a collection area will be in the pits across from Chad's trailer at a white Dodge pickup truck.

This Saturday we are teaming up with Lincoln Speedway and the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series to collect donations for pets and people affected by Hurricane Helene.

Most of you know how much we love our pets and it is heartbreaking to see the devastation knowing how many pets have separated from their families and those who can't even get supplies.

Donations will be accepted on the concrete stage area located next to the grand stands in turn 4. Just look for the black trailer.

The following items are needed:
*Small bags of dog/cat food dry or wet
*Collars/leashes
*Pet Supplies
*Toilet Paper
*Paper Towels
*Diapers
*Baby Formula
*Canned Goods
*Can Openers
*Flip Flops
*Sleeping Bags
*Blankets
*Cleaning Supplies
*Disinfectant Wipes
*Hygiene Items
*Cash Donations will be used to buy items on the list
