Getting client sites ready for the WordPress 5.0 rollout. It was due next week on 19 Nov and has been postponed till 27 Nov, but most in my shoes are hopeful it will be further postponed till late Jan 2019. I really dislike the Gutenberg Editor and plan to keep sites on Classic Editor till theme and plugin developers come up with compatible versions that work flawlessly with Gutenberg. I will write a blog soon about this when I have a few spare moments.

A frustrating day dealing with serious client site issues at iPower. Urging clients to move elsewhere, but till then it's a pain. Support has been abysmal, and I hate when my hands are tied and I'm not getting cogent or in some cases any answers.

Oh - and GoDaddy has been down too... So no DNS changes possible.

Argh!

As a WordPress site designer/developer, I rely on many professional tools and plugins to make my life easier and enable me to deliver value, advanced functionality and features to my clients.

As I begin my third year as a subscriber, I am reminded just how much I rely on WPMU DEV for any number of plugins that I use with every site. Further, they make it so much easier for me to increase my knowledge bandwidth through so many exceptional training resources and their blog.

Their impressive inventory of Multisite plugins drove me to finally take that next step in working in this new workspace. I know that as my expertise increases, it's going to open a lot more doors for me and my clients.

Anyone else who wants to take their site development to the next level should seriously try them out!

Interestingly enough, those of us who serve others don't always do the best job in drinking our own brand Kool-Aid. Here's to the start of a more disciplined approach to toot my own business horn!
