Happy #TeamTuesday! This week we're thrilled to introduce you to our manicurist Catherine! Catherine started her career at the Spa in February of 2024. She has been a licensed nail technician since June of 2023, but has been working on nail art and extensions since 2018. She loves art and people! Catherine has always been supportive of expressing yourself and expressing your style in whatever way you want! She loves to express herself with an edgy set of nails, and she would love to give you nails that you love too! Catherine's favorite nail product has always been cuticle oil, and she LOVES the solar oil by CND - Creative Nail Design . It not only hydrates your skin, but also stimulates nail growth! She loves performing pedicures, especially the bliss pedicure with a French tip added. When she treats herself to a service, she enjoys a lash lift and tint with one of our amazing estheticians! In her free time, she likes to go out with friends, grab coffee or tea, and relax. She loves a lazy weekend at home watching a funny movie! #TeamTuesday with our Spa Coordinator Betsy! ⤵️ I grew up and still live in Marysville (@visitmarysvilleunioncounty). Most days you will find me teaching language arts to fourth graders in a rural district about an hour away from Dublin. I am in the middle of my eighth year of teaching and am thankful for kids that bring me joy/make me laugh everyday! I started at The Spa in July of 2017. Being a teacher, I have more free time in the summer and was looking for something part time and flexible. The Spa offered me both of those things, and the biggest bonus was that I got to work with one of my favorite people (@dakotaatthespaatriverridge). I have a 12 year old tabby cat named Parker. I'd love to see a concert at Red Rocks. I also dream of visiting every Disney Park in the world. My ideal day would start with a slow morning enjoying a book. It would involve browsing for books at The Book Loft, lunch with family, and end at a brewery or concert with friends. My mom and I share the same birthday. I'm pretty confident I'm the best birthday gift she ever received. My mom suggested cosmetology and I never looked back! I graduated from @salon_institute_columbus. I am engaged to my childhood crush, Ian. We are getting married on May 14th in a renovated 1873 church in Delaware! I have three cats, Mr. Magoo, Naomi, and Hugh! Mr. Magoo and Naomi each only have one eye. I am almost fluent in French. Both of my parents are from PC so growing up we were always surrounded by family. My husband and I are raising our boys in the same house that my dad grew up in! I always knew I wanted to be a hair stylist. Even as a kid I would beg people to let me do their hair and makeup. I was a founding member of @avedacolumbus! To this day my wardrobe is still mostly all black. If you know, you know. My husband is a barber in Plain City and he owns a barber shop about a mile from our house. We have two beautiful and ornery boys who are our most opinionated customers! I’ve been working at The Spa for over 17 years. I teach the SIT (stylist-in-training) program and I train all of our new hair stylists. I love getting to teach and work alongside my girls! I’m a firm believer that lipstick is always necessary! We adopted him in April of last year at 7 months old. I have twin sons and a daughter. I also am a bonus Mom to my husband’s son and daughter. I am a sign language interpreter. I started at The Spa at the end of September 2021. I love it here! I was drawn to massage therapy because my family and I would give massages to each other growing up. Also, I love people and want to help people feel better and relieve some of their stress, even if it is only for an hour.
