Been awhile since I’ve been able to build an Undertow bass amp due to some crazy supply chain challenges. Feels good to get started on one. The iron on these is massive!

Shipped this NV4X12GS to a long time customer/friend in Canada a few weeks back. Possibly one of the coolest 4x12’s I’ve ever built. Blackened Tuna tolex with black grill and black hardware. Loaded with Eminence DV77’s.

I’ve always loved the Aegean design. Easily the best pedal platform I make and spring reverb for daaaaaaays.

Doesn’t look like much, but I made a reactive loadbox a couple months ago. About 100w power handling, and has a really nice Jensen transformer DI out. Sounds fantastic. Thought about making more, but some of the parts have been hard to get. Sound off below if I should make more once parts come available!

You’ve been asking, so I delivered. Smaller size and lighter weight enclosures for the medium format 1x12 combo amps. Includes Zenith, CK, MK, and Aegean lines. This will probably become standard unless someone can’t live without the valanced combo amps. Sound off below with your thoughts/opinions/feelings.

Ever seen a tube glow cherry red/orange when it doesn’t normally? Turn your amp off immediately if you see it. Red-plating happens when a vacuum tube starts drawing too much current, for any number of reasons. A lot of the time after a red plate condition, one or both of the tubes will look like the one on the right. Best practice is NOT just tossing a new set of tubes in and instead having it looked at by a qualified tech (or if you know your way around high voltage electronics, have at ‘er). All too often I’ve seen people fry multiple sets of power tubes before realizing something isn’t right.

Super cool MK36 I made a couple years back. Custom powder coated corners makes this thing look so sharp.

There is so much going on here, but I can’t wait to revisit the Apex 100 model soon. Three fully independent channels of clean, crunch, and high gain, 100% hand-wired on eyelet boards.

This lovely beast left the shop the other day. Custom spec’d 1x12, unloaded. Customer is providing an EV EVM12L and using it with his Kemper rig. Can’t wait to hear what that sounds like 🔥🔥

CNC. So nice for cutting speaker baffles. Cleaner, faster, and more consistent than I could ever do template routing.
