"Lightnin' Lou" Ligon's RESPONSE:
"It was a beautiful Spring day in Duluth. A perfect day to go take a walk down the main street and enjoy the sunshine. I decided to stop by my favorite coffee shop. To my surprise, a person sat on an outside bench near the coffee shop entrance with a box of cute puppies. People were playing with them, picking them up...but...." No Takers"....I wonder why" ?
"A couple of days later, I decided to get an early start to my day. I got up early, got dressed, and headed down to the coffee shop for breakfast. I was amazed to see such a crowd of people so early in the morning all crowded around that box of puppies. They were all laughing, interacting, and picking up the puppies as they played. Everybody now with great excitement wanted to legally take one home to share with their loved ones, friends, and family. I asked the puppy box owner if their puppies were still"....."Democrat Puppies"? They quickly replied: "Oh, No, No, No,"...... "Now all these cute puppies are"......"Republican Puppies"........because they have all, "Opened Their Eyes" ! 👍💯❗ USA! USA!! USA!!! 🏆🥇🇺🇸

Voters in Atlanta and across Georgia are counting down to election day on May 21, when votes will be cast for the state’s general primary and nonpartisan election. Advance voting begins on April 29.

Why is this election important?

The results will determine who will represent each party in the general election – and in key races that are nonpartisan or only one party has a candidate, who will likely be the victor.

Ballots will include candidates for county commission, sheriff, district attorney, and some city posts, plus Georgia congressional seats and the Georgia Legislature. The nonpartisan part of the ballot will include referendums and state and local judicial elections.

Could you tell us more about yourself ?

I am the survivor of two lightning strikes. I wouldn't quite recommend standing next to 1 million volts/100k amps twice. The first lightning strike in 2007 severely damaged my nervous system. I had to have continuous outpatient medical treatments. After eight years of grueling treatments to keep functioning, I was struck again in 2015 by a second gigantic lightning bolt that electrocuted me violently and severely. However, the second strike fixed me!!! I walked away from all my medical treatments. God willing, I am still on this Earth to try to help the world and make a difference. Say what you do and do what you say! The truth is always the truth!

Where did you go to school?

- Ridgeview High School Redskins, 1978 - Southern Polytechnic College,1983 - Gwinnett Technical College, 1986-1989

What is your job/occupation?

Is this your first time running for office?

Yes

What experiences have best prepared you to hold elected office?

It is optional to have any prior political experience. I have been an entrepreneur all of my life. A "people person" as I've never met a stranger. An intent listener. I always gather all the facts before making any determinations or decisions. I am fearless in always stating the truth and doing the right thing for all parties involved. I will truly represent the will of the people as their senator. Having a work ethic, good character and morals, integrity, honesty, and caring as a business owner is an advantage to running for public office. Bringing business efficiency to the state legislature is an advantage for the "people."

What would be your top priority upon winning office?

I will strive to bring transparency and public trust to all government activities. I will introduce a term limits bill for all state Legislature positions. I would deem Georgia Code 15-19-5 as "procedurally defective," thus banning state private attorneys from a plenary powers loophole. Among other top priorities to introduce are the Rule of Law and Public Safety Crime Bill, Voter Registration Integrity Bill, and Illegal Alien ICE Retainer Bill. We must all adhere to our great country's, "rule of law," the very fabric that holds our incredible Democratic Republic together for the functionality and safety of all. If you do the crime then you do the time!

What actions would you take to enhance government transparency and trust in government?

We must all adhere to public safety laws and the rule of law to keep the general public safe and free from harm. We must always strive to balance our state government and legislature budget. Choose our state expenditures frugally and wisely and keep the state out of debt with a state budget balanced every month. "We the people" don't work for the government. The government is supposed to work and represent . . ." WE The People." The most important task is to listen intently to what the people have to say and represent them in the Georgia Senate according to the "will of the people." Liberty and justice for all. Do you believe Georgia elections are secure and what additional security measures can be taken?

We must have accurate, open, and transparent voting Integrity in our nation's elections. The entire voter registration process should be updated and verified annually to ensure that each voter is "vetted" and "verified" and are U.S. Citizens. It is absolutely bilious to think that deceased people are still on the voter rolls in 2024. We must have uniform election laws to ban "ballot harvesting." One vote, one verified voter, with a vetted voter's original signature. "We the people" should be honored to go and "cast your vote."Our right to vote has been fought, sacrificed, and died for by our past, present, and future American heroes. USA!

What is the government's responsibility to ensure affordable housing?

We must find solutions for Affordable Housing for citizens. We must keep the housing marketplace free of government overregulation though. The housing marketplace cannot be allowed to be controlled by a few corporate investors. There must be open and fair competition to have affordable housing pricing. Also, the government should encourage the development of affordable housing through the application of tax credits to encourage developers to build efficient, affordable housing developments for the citizens of the state. Also, economic inflation must be brought under control to make the "American dream" an affordable reality for all.

Do you believe public access to public records is sufficient in your jurisdiction and, if not, what steps do you support to remedy that?

State and federal tax revenues are the "people's money." Every penny of taxpayer funds should be spent in a fiscally wise and responsible way. Our elected officials work for "we the people." We should always expect and demand complete transparency. That is the key to keeping everyone honest and accountable to the very public that elected them to represent their will. Every citizen in the state should have open and easy access to all state of Georgia government public records. We must have a public "hotline" to have a forum to discuss and resolve issues facing the public when it comes to ease of access to all public records.

Voter Integrity is Imperative for an Honest, Free Election !
Ensuring fair and honest elections is of utmost importance. To achieve this, we need to prioritize open and transparent voting integrity at all levels of government - local, state, and federal. The voter registration process should be updated and verified to ensure that every individual voter is properly vetted and verified as a U.S. citizen. It is totally unacceptable and quite frankly bilious to have deceased people still on the voter rolls in 2024. Therefore, it is high time to update all voter registrations. Federal judge dismisses challenge to Georgia's citizenship verification process According to a release from Raffensperger's office, Ross' ruling will result in Georgia's citizenship verification processes remaining in place for the 2024 election.
