Laughter is a universal language that connects us all, no matter the words we use. This National Tell a Joke Day, let's celebrate the joy of humor and the power of communication. Aphasia may change the way we speak, but it doesn’t change our ability to share a laugh. Whether it's through words, gestures, or just a shared smile, let's come together and find joy in every moment.
Join us in spreading happiness! Share a joke in your own way—through speech, drawing, or even just a knowing smile. Together, we can make every connection meaningful.😁

Supporting someone with aphasia means giving them the time they need to finish their words and express themselves fully. Patience and understanding go a long way in fostering effective communication and empowering individuals with aphasia. Allow the person time to respond and finish their thoughts. If they make several unsuccessful attempts to say something, you can offer to return to the idea later. 🕐💬
